Been struggling at work and feeling down due to not feeling the usual accomplishments so thinking it is a cycle of sliding downward with less and less motivation due to lack of dopamine. Any great supplements or things I can find to take to increase dopamine by at least 30% or more...seems most of what I find just says eating clean and protein (which I do) or L-tyrosine..... Any other ideas with more impact? Thank you in advance.

Other way to increase dopamine would be learning strategies to reduce current exposure .. things like porn - video games - constant cell phone use (like looking at phone more than 40 times per day - very average) all expend dopamine.

Go back 100 years in time and consider no Facebook or email notifications ... no porn .... no video games ... far less recreational drug use .. no cell phones.

Consider fasting (going without) a few of these things for a few days and see if your mood increases.

Looking at computer all day for work about 12hrs a day is only thing similar to these that I have exposure to. Nintendo (original) was the last video game console I owned and the rare time I played with one of my kiddos on the xbox is even gone as did away with it since thanksgiving none at all. No porn or anything similar.

Get a bunch of natural sunlight. Might be good to talk to a doctor about it, too. Are you on any prescription meds, or AAS, or other ancillaries? So many things can affect dopamine.

I agree with transcend. Reset your system. Don’t up your dopamine.

For instance, shooting Drugs IV will up your dopamine more than 30% but the price you’d pay would destroy you.

Based on my understanding the best way to raise dopamine levels is through prescription medication. There are a few atypical antidepressants that are in the NDRI class of medications along with some dopamine agonists used primarily for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

There is some information out there about otc supplements that help raise dopamine but I am not aware of any definitive research supporting these claims. Not saying it doesn't exist, I just haven't seen it.

That said; exercise, healthy eating, meditation, and a well regulated sleep schedule would be a great place to start. Getting your body into a healthy pattern and removing unnecessary stress and distractions will no doubt increase your mood. I know that's easier said than done. But small incremental changes can lead to a big improvement in mood of your consistent.

Exercising. Heavy on cardio. And maybe try an intermittent fasting protocol. It works very well

I'm low dopamine myself. I had a period of time where talking on the phone for 30 minutes would wear me out and I would need a nap. I would recommend catuaba extract. Bulk Supplements has it. I find 1 gram of that in the morning gives me enough energy to talk on the phone for 15 to 30 minutes. Have you always been low dopamine or is this relatively new for you?

You have interests? Ever try immersing yourself in them? I have a long time friend that i lost touch with. He's religious so he said yesterday he was talking about me to another friend of his yesterday and today i just called him out of the blue. He attributes it to god. I attribute it to picking up the phone. Stop by his house, 6 hours later i feel like i recovered a limb i lost. Wall to wall motorcycles and i got to see my pal. Feels great, and i pretty much ensured that well will both be doing some riding this week.Winnnnninggggg lmao

I hate to admit it, but the answers to my problems so many times are freaking encapsulated in others. I struggle with asking for help or reaching out . Just throwing that out there. May not apply to you.
