finasteride / propecia / proscar = no blood donations =((

    Just an FYI.

If you are on finasteride - also known by the names propecia and proscar, then you can not donate blood at the American Red Cross. You must be off the medication for at least 30 days due to risks with pregnant mothers who may receive the blood.

I went in today to donate and found that i couldnt!

Some clinics give you the option to still donate, even if you dont want it or it cant be used. Thets how i keep my hematocrit on check.

yea any DHT AAS requires propecia to help from losing hair, but if you are planning on using deca,i wouldnt use it,plus i would recommend using Saw Palmetto, and Opti-Zinc when using dht steroids(masteron, proviron)cause if used in high doses for extended periods, they can enlarge you prostate gland if youve ever had prostate problems before and if you are older

Yes, once infected and enflamed as well. I absolutely dread getting checked. A) because I am afraid of what I might find out and B) It is really ****ing uncomfortable.

Yea it hurts like hell, but worth it,do they also check your PSA as well? that test tell you if your prostate is ok or not

I took two aspirin the last time I donated blood and they took the blood but said they would not be able to use the platelets. She said you cannot take aspirin within 48 hours of giving blood and still use the platelets - I just happened to mention the aspirin ... no telling how many times I donated before with aspirin in my system and didn't know to say anything.

Good to know about the finasteride / propecia / proscar ...

Finasteride has no ability to inhibit the androgenic effect of DHT-reduced AAS. They are not DHT AAS, they DHT-reduced AAS which means that they were formed by using the base DHT 4 ring and then reduced by 5 AR interaction. So they are not actually DHT. Finasteride works by inhibiting DHT reduction from a the base 4 ring test molecule. Since DHT reduced AAS are already in a reduced form, finasteride has no effect on them whatsoever. The only saving grace of DHT-reduced AAS is that many are already much lower in androgenic propensity than Test base AAS so they have a reduced affinity for all androgen receptors regardless of specificity.
