    Memory Foam Matresses

    Anyone else have one?

I got one last week and for the 1st time in years I do not wake up with a tight sore lower back and hips, from the 1st night on it I was having a feeling of being cured of LB and Hip bullshit.

Yes. Memory foam and pillow top. I sweat a lot more if I sleep right on the foam.

I tried one out before in a store it didn't really impress me to be honest. The pillow tops they have now seem way better technological

I had the opposite reaction got a memory foam topper and it killed my back. I can't sleep on a soft mattress, has to be firm. By the middle of the night I was sleeping on the floor trying to get relief, got rid of it and sleeping on firm now and no problems.

I've had a King size 12 inch TEMPUR-Pedic since 2000 and it is the only mattress on which I'll ever sleep!

Absolutely love it - got one at both of my houses!

    Re: Memory Foam Matresses

I am considering one but we have a sleep number bed and it seems to be as good as it gets. Each side is independent. I do have the contoured foam pillows and like mine but it does seem to be a little hot.

Might go ahead and buy the foam one for the guest BR and try it a few times. A good mattress is worth it's weight in gold... a bad mattress isn't worth shit!

    Re: Memory Foam Matresses

Bought one from a website called "Bed In A Box" was half the price of the name brands. I don't have any basis for comparison, but I know you'd have to pry that thing out of my cold, dead hands before I'd give it up.

The reason I did not buy one was because these hold in the heat.

Jenn, that's because when you're as hot as you are, you can't get any hotter!

What's up Cash..I too recently bought a new mattress

I had bought a Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop back in 2003 and it was the best mattress I had owned up until then. Now this new one is incredible. The coils are all individually wrapped so now when the gf gets in and out of the bed I don't even feel it. Worth every penny for a good nights sleep.

I've known friends that get one, and two reasons I will not get one:

    1) holds in too much heat, if you are heat prone, this could be a problem
    2) uncomfortable for sex. when on your knees or whatever, you sink in too much. Same reason I don't like waterbeds.

    Other than that, enjoy!

    Re: Memory Foam Matresses

BTW, in the past, Costco's memory foam mattress' had a lot of complaints. Very inexpensive, around $800, but for a few weeks, it would give off a chemical odor and will give many a headache. I suppose that if you couuld unroll it and let it air out in the garage for a month or two then this would reduce that complaint.....?
