    E2 tests and values????

I have labwork done by Privatemdlabs. I usually have the female hormone panel done which includes a value for Serum Estradiol. But, the site also has a separate test for estradiol called Estradiol Sensitive. I beleive the Serum E2 test is the correct one to measure E2 for our needs, but can this be confirmed definitely. Whats the difference between the two and why would the Sensitive test not meet our needs?

    Re: E2 tests and values????

the reason Im asking this is because when I had bloods drawn last week, I also ordered a separate Sensitive E2 test for the sake of learning. My results are:

    Serum E2 - 30.4 (ref int. 7.6-42.6)
    Sensitive E2 - 97 (ref. int. 3-70)

so i have conflicting results - my serum E2 is within normal limits, but my sensitive E2 shows quite high. Can anyone explain this difference?

I have done some other research and have found that apparently the most accurate assay for mens purposes is the Sensitive E2. Thoughts?

This is very interesting, unfortunately I do not know, but I am curious for an explanation myself.

I read males are given it because it takes all e2 factors into account, just more accurate

Thats correct. Problem is I dont exhibit the symptoms of high estro anymore. So Im a bit confused by the dual results. Possible error in analysis?
