    Christmas Day in the ER!

Well just got back from our trip to N. Ga. I didn't see my buddy's neighbor who's a porn star but I did spend Christmas Day in the ER. Christmas Eve our 3 year old got a fever of 105 that we could not lower regardless of sponge baths, shower, etc. So the next morning it's off to ER, long-short. My daughter tests positive for H1N1(Swine Flu) and strep! Now, finding a pharmacy that's open on Christmas. Drive to Seneca, SC and get antibiotics/tamiflu for whole family. 6hrs later back to the cabin for Christmas dinner which was semi-canceled due to my infectious little....lol. My daughter was 100% better by that night and running around the next morning. Everything went well but was definately scary with the little one and no one else got sick. Thank You Lord.
Chances are if you busting a nut, you're having a good time!

I heard you slipped and fell on the porn star - requiring surgical extraction. Just saying, thats the rumor.....

Seriously, glad your daughter is fine now. No parent likes to see their child sick.

I'm glad to hear your child is okay. There is nothing that makes me feel as little as when my child is sick or hurt and there is nothing I can do.

Nothing scarier then your children getting sick with fevers like that. Happy to hear she is doing well and you still had a somewhat decent Christmas!

Re: Christmas Day in the ER!

Alternating between Tylenol and Motrin can help in emergency situations like that...105 is high, you were right to give her sponge bath, that helps tremendously in cooling people down, ice water helps some too. Tamiflu...man you had to spend some cash, I know that's not cheapest, especially for whole fam, but it DOES help if you take it before symptoms occur, upon exposure, which undoubtedly you got. Smart thinking parent. Good job.
