Finally got a chance to swing by and see Manny today. Let me tell you something folks, I am PROUD of this man! He's 6 weeks out from the show and ready to take the stage and KILL it.
Those of you who follow the sport or compete know how incredibly taxing and difficult this point in prep is. Everything is calculated, there is no room for mistakes, and life becomes about one thing and one thing only. This guy has sacrificed and sacrificed to get to this point and the hard work is really starting to show.
Often times we talk about how disciplined we are in our lives and how we calculate everything we put into our bodies so as to have the best gains from the effort we put in. When I look at what Manny is doing it motivates the HELL out of me! He owns something like, 10 businesses, has tons of clients, takes care of his dog, hangs out with me, and STILL has time to hit the gym, cook his meals, expand his empire, and learn a new language (maybe not, but sounds cool).
So why am I getting borderline homo over here about this?
2 reasons...
1). Find that person that motivates you. I'm not saying you have to emulate that person, but take motivation from them and better yourself as a result. It will pay off in the long run!
2). Let's give Manny some love! The dude is working harder than anyone I've met at this sport, and I'm proud to have him on this board and as a friend!
nohomo.
