Anybody into this. Especially and North East brothers. Me and a bunch of my boys go every year to Pulaski Ny. Man what a ****in good time. 40lb fish right at your feet. Sometimes they'll knock you off your feet. Anyway couple more weeks and its time to go snag some salmon.

Yeah over on the west as well, I'm in sac so I got a ton of rivers to choose from.

Steelers- Not sure when there is an off season. I'm sure there is. Probably a catch and release time period. They come flooding into the river Sept/Oct. Last year they were a month early-Mid August and it was the best year there in last 100 years. Was out of control. Parts of the river were packed solid with fish. Taste wise its a little drier and less fatty then store bought salmon but just like the other guy said its a great time to stuff the freezer.

I have been once in Alaska. It was ridiculous. Caught our limit of pink salmon in like 45min to an hour.

Nothing better tasting IMO than wild caught northwest sockeye salmon. The meat is much darker than your typical Atlantic salmon and has a richer flavor. I usually filet those things up and cook em on cedar planks on my grill. It's a satisfying experience because these fish fight like hell! Can't tell you how many times you'll get your hook spot by these guys. Stronger lb for lb than Atlantic.

Never tried salmon fishing but I might this year. Have a river 5 minutes away, why not.
