Just wanted to post up as I've been away from the board for awhile except for a few stop by's to check PM's here and there. Sorry for those that PM'd me and didn't get a response. I wasn't ignoring anyone.
So back in June I started school for the first time in 13 years. I took one too many classes and was swamped with homework on top of 12 hr shifts, plus 2 kids, planning for a wedding, and all the other responsibilities I have around the house. It got pretty stressful but I wound up finishing those classes with a 4.0. I'm going to school for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics and an apprenticeship position opened up at my current employer so I put in for it. I went through a few days of testing and wound up being the only person to pass all of the tests so I got the job that I am going to school for, way before finishing school which is pretty fucking nice. I'm still going to finish school and am currently taking a 4 year Nationally accredited course online. My schedule has changed so there's no 12 hr days unless a piece of equipment breaks down so I've been able to spend alot more time at home with the family. I've also been prepping for a show for the past 8 weeks now which is crazy amounts of time in itself. Between prepping and packing meals, workouts, cardio, and emails, any free time I gained from my schedule change is gone.
I think about you guys alot and just wanted you all to know what's going on with me and where I've been. I definitely haven't abandoned the board, I've just had to shift my priorities alot. I'm sure after this prep is done I'll be alot more active again but until then I won't be here a whole lot except from time to time. Hope everyone's doing well and god bless.
