UFC contender and OKC Police officer Matt Grice was off duty in his car in Shawnee, OK where he was at a red light parked behind another car Grice was then rearended and knocked into the next vehicle. Grice sustained severe head injuries and was in critical condition. He had surgery and so far he is still hanging in there. Not sure what his status is now critical or serious?
OHP blamed the accident on a driver that was distracted by a child in their SUV when he caused the accident. This person has not been charged nor was impared according to OHP. Grice was the only one injured in the accident and was the only one not wearing his seat belt.
Hang in there Matt were pulling for you.

A few years ago, my wife, mother-in-law and, at the time, 10 month old son, were hit head on by a drunk chick at 2 in the afternoon. They were on the way to pick-up my oldest son from Pre-School. They were going up a small hill when the drunk bitch was coming over the peak and drove across the median and into them.
Thankfully my son was fine except for some cuts from glass - his window blew out and the glass landed on him. My wife was wearing her seatbelt. She'll have neck/shoulder problems for life, but is pretty much ok. My mother-in-law wasn't wearing her seatbelt and is permanently disabled at age 50. She's had 2 failed back surgeries and is on pain meds forever. She's a walking cripple. She got about $200k because the driver was under-insured. It's a nice chunk, but she can never work again, and it's not going to last very long.
TLDR - wear your seatbelt. I never did until that happened.
