Everything's changed! Sorry for not stopping by sooner. I'm now in Afghanistan, and just over a rather nasty bout of the Hershey Squirts (your favorite flavor, right?).

So is everything else pretty much the same except for appearances?

when i get more time, i'll check out all the "nooks and crannies".

i don't know if you've ever experienced severe diarrhea, but i think i lost a gallon of "fluids" the second night here, and have been severly dehydrated, without knowing it (drinking loads of water). the sides are horrible, very low body energy, lethargy, wanting to sleep all the time, even after sleeping a 12 hour night. then i started with the rehydration salts yesterday. it made all the difference in the world. i'm feeling well enough that for the first time in a month, i've been able to hit the gym

I think I'm going to start a thread about life here in Afghanistan. I'll maintain it for the few years I'm here. I think life in Afghanistan is a curiosity to some, and is a way to separate myth from reality.
