Been on and off cycle for 5 years now. Never had a problem with acne on my face ever, only on my back when E would get high or when coming off. Been on trt steadily in between every cycle.

Last fall, I started getting big pimples mainly on my nose. It started with DHTs. When I stopped the DHT, it immediately cleared up. Then it started happening with test. Estrogen would get slightly up and boom, big nose zit lol. Then I started getting them even on trt dose.

Now my system is clear of test and I’m running nandrolone only and just had another breakout. It’s looking like I can’t get away with using anything now.

I’m even contemplating acutane… but the only problem area is really my nose. I don’t care about an occasional zit here and there but I can’t deal with them on my nose.

Laugh all you want because it is funny but I’m getting desperate here. Any ideas? Anybody had luck with certain soaps or spot treatments?

Use benzoyl peroxide. It kills the bacteria responsible for odor as well as bacteria responsible for some types of acne that can be hard to get rid of.

Oxyclean sells a product that's 10% benzoyl peroxide. It's meant to be used as a scrub, but if it's on your face it might be better to dab it onto the acne spots, leave it on overnight, and rinse off in the morning.

Give it a couple of weeks to do its thing.

Hopefully other people will chime in with some other suggestions you can try.

Definitely sounds hormonal acne I don't think accutane is going to be your best bet but you can try.
Acne is considered a condition related to lower levels of estrogen relative to testosterone and progesterone. However, as we had already discussed, higher levels of estrogen relative to progesterone in the body can increase the likelihood of testosterone converting to its more potent form, DHT, leading to a potential increase in hormonal acne breakouts.

So what you need to figure out how to balance the equation. But it sounds like you've already figured that out. Just for fun have you had your blood levels checked, on and off to see how much of an increase in estrogen testosterone and progesterone you experience? Perhaps a low dose of AI or nolvadex on top of some face wipes.

Mine seems to be DHT related. Mast, Anavar, and too much Test all give me horrific, bloody/cystic acne.

I'm fine with EQ and Nandrolones though.

I'd bleed through shirts, sheets, etc... Plus one trip to the ER to have a big one sliced and the cottage cheese scooped out.

I’ll try the benzoyl peroxide. It’s crazy how it just started out of nowhere, and now it’s basically any compound. Shoot I’ve ran nandrolone up to 1500 in the past with zero sides. I figured I’d at least be able to run nandrolone but 2 weeks on npp and another breakout. I’ve been off test for 3 weeks.

Nothing is going to work for that cystic hormonal acne like acutane.

Doing a cycle of acutane is not fun, there are side effects, but it clears you up for many years after.

The best part is it works fastest top-down, in otherwise your face is going to be the first thing to clear up and stay clear. You might not even need to do a full cycle of it.

It's way harsher trying to clear up acne on the trunk and back, it works though. I'd 100% do it for this case if you wanna keep using those drugs.

I had the wierdest experiences with accutane, I ran a few unfinished cycles of it for acne on my back and trunk. Sides got too bad and I quit early both times, but now I'm running stuff I could never get away with before because the acne got too bad. I'm glad I did it.

When I was a teen I used peroxide and toothpaste.

Peroxide dried it, toothpaste cooled it down.

@CohibaRobusto the way I understand it is when you take accutane the acne gets worse for a period of time? That’s what worries me. How long is a normal cycle of accutane ?

It might get worse for a few weeks maybe? Not long. That was never an issue for me. Full cycle can be 3-6 months I think depending on what dose you can tolerate and your lipids.

THIS!

The reason you need a good 2 weeks to see results is the nodule type pimple you're getting takes about 12-14 days to develop.

Wash your face with a cloth and water morning and night and apply the 10% B.P. each time. Like SendO said, dap a little extra on the problem spot. And for God sakes, despite the urge, DO NOT SQUEEZE THEM! You could end up with the bacteria spreading and making it worse or even having acne scars.

Also clean pillow cases.

Ive got one spot on my leg of all places that I cant squeeze ,, like 90 percent of the time no matter what it breaks but never pops or has anything come out of it ,, then 2 days later its the size of a fucking egg and hurts like all hell. Only way to get that one gone is hot compresses ,, pressure builds up and builds up and it just rips open

The pillow cases is good tip. They get nasty and you put your clean face down on them defeating the wash.

I use the the same ingredient but the brand PanOxl.

Same shit and it’s helped me a ton.

You want one of the herbal-infused 10% benzyl peroxide solutions, one brand name I suggest is PanOxyl. Noxema, or store brand, that usually come in a purple bottle. You apply this after 1st shaving, and 2nd exfoliating your whole face, so 3rd.

If it persists, try witch-hazel at nighttime.

If it persists, a dermatologist would prescribe topical salicyclic acid and Retin-A.

Then, they'd prescribe mino- or doxy- cycline. These are amazing antibiotics. They usually work for most people without deep cystic acne. These can be taken long term without ill effect - the concern about long-term antibiotic treatment is a societal one, not individual.

Finally, they'd monitor a harsh course of Accutane, specifically looking at GGT and aminotransferases with concern about the kidneys, and instruct you to wear sunscreen for photosensitivity and beware joint aching/drying out.
