1- Did you benefit, have a neutral result, or a negative result from intra workout nutrition?

2- What supplements did you use and doses?

3 - did you use any exogenous insulin with your protocol?

watch this video. Unless you're doing your intra workout shakes like that, you probably won't see the results you're looking for.

Thanks for the video. I've tried a few approaches, and the only one I've had any success with is using hydrolyzed whey (intrabolic) during the workout. I noticed that my pumps were very good, and I had reduced soreness, but no real size gain to mention even over a prolonged period of time.

I've also tried combining hydrowhey with glycofuse. It sat in my stomach and bloated me. Made me feel very sluggish and I had a poor workout. If I were to try it again, I'd use A LOT more water to dilute it down.

I believe you don't want to go over an 8% solution rate to avoid stomach issues.

So that would be 80 grams of total powders in 1 liter of water.

I've only begun using an intra workout this past year.

EAAs, salt and electrolytes (I like the LMNT packets) and an intra carb supliment.

Drink all this throughout my workouts l, which usually run 2 hours+, and I notice a tremendous difference in the pumps I get and how I feel during the long intense workouts.

Nowadays I can't imagine making it through one of my leg days without an intraworkout stack.

I have experimented with Cialis at 5mg a day on and off for a while and I get MUCH better pumps with the LMNT salt/electrolytes than I do with Cialis alone.

I think at the minimum, anyone who's training sufficiently long and sufficiently hard can probably benefit from basic intra workout stuff.

For infos sake I use nutrabio for both the EAAs and carbs simply because I prefer the taste and how it mixes

I’ve used my own intra drink and it did help with recovery.
I use 2 scoops of humapro and glucose syrup and salt or Gatorade.
There’s nothing magical about an intra drink.
They just help with recovery or getting in extra calories.
I wouldn’t use one now as I’ve had to change over to a very low volume routine.
Unless you’re really training balls to the wall and extremely hard in a longer session there’s no reason to waste money on one.
For most people I’d say put supplement money towards food or drugs because most people don’t train hard enough for it to be useful.

What results? Recovery?
I didn’t buy any special intra I made my own and worked just fine.

I mix my own.

Gatorade powder, unflavored whey isolate, creatine, salt, and potassium chloride.

Good pumps from the salts, get 25 g of protein in, and 45g of carbs from the Gatorade, to start the repair process and refueling of the muscles.

Does it do anything? Hard to say, I've been doing it for so long, I don't remember. I need the extra Cals anyway, so no biggie either way.

Have you had those Gatorade protein drinks? It’s 50 cals and 10 grams of protein. 2 of those are actually really decent for an intra and you can grab it from a gas station in a pinch

No, I'm a cheap bastard. I just buy the tubs of the plain old lemon lime Gatorade powder. 2 scoops.

I use a 50/50 mix of cyclic dextrin karbalyn 100 grams total. With 40g EAA. (No slin) All True Nutrition. Mix it in a half gallon of water with ACV and lemon. Pumps are good, have more energy. It's the only major carb source I have....I feel I'm recomping nicely

All this discussion reminds me of an old Lee Priest video where he is at KFC getting fried chicken, mashed potatoes and biscuits after his workout.

He is asked about the importance of the "post workout meal" micro breakdown and his reply was something like - what the hell difference does it make. He went on to say that what you ate 3 hours earlier, at lunch, for breakfast etc. was much more important.
