First step get yourself an air fryer if you can't cook and most the cooking will be taken care of within 5-20 minutes.

Second, start turning those shakes into homemade weight gainers. Theres some old threads of post on these with a full calorie/nutrition break down. Pretty easy to turn a shake into 800-1100+ cals. From there add a PB&J sandwich or rice cakes with the shake. Bagels too.

Eat your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and then add in 2 of those gainers and try to keep each meal around 700+1000 cals if possible. If these meals are lacking in cals, then try adding a PB&J or something to your gainer shake to make up for the drop in calories from meals. Ideally better to get calories from real food, so focus on those meals being full and rely on the shakes as make up cals.

Keeping up with something like this will help your appetite grow and then can start switching those shakes out with real fuller meals ect.

Something a Vet that's no longer on here shared with me was to only sip your drink during meals if needed and save your liquid until the end after finishing eating everything. Sounds petty but makes a difference for those with a small appetite.

Not sure of your eating habits but spreading your meals out while making sure they're nutrient dense would help hack your metabolism get your hunger up, gorging on fewer/bigger meals can overwhelm your digestion making it tough to find the appetite to consume more.

Agree with the above, an air fryer can be pretty efficient if you're not one to want to put time in to want to cook. Good luck man

I gota agree with @snake on this , pigs get a horrible rep for what ever reason , they are actually pretty clean if the farmer allows them to be , they like to wallow in the mud but thats a cooling down fun thing for them , and they are smarter than youd think for sure.

What is your diet know?
How many meals?
Calorie, macro nutrient breakdown?
Are you gaining muscle?
Are your lifts going up?
Throwing a bunch of meat and veggies, potatoes on a grill isn't a big skill. Neither is firing up a couple pans with chopped chicken, veggies and throwing a sauce on it. With another pan of rice cooking.

Why would someone want to eat globs of fat? Why PB, and not butter or cream cheese?

Bad advice, unless someone wants to just get fat.

Peanut butter is high in fat but low in saturated fat. It's a much healthier fat.

What about someone who's primary protein sources are 99/1 ground turkey and egg whites?

There have been many days I rely on peanut butter just to get to 50-60 grams of fat.

There are better sources of fat if that's what you want, but PB isn't the worst.

From a protein perspective, PB sucks. It's pretty low on the scoring for protein digestibility ac (PDCASS). It is delicious though 😅

That's a huge oversimplification. Regardless, it's pretty much pure fat, so why?

How complicated can it be to say that eating scoops of peanut butter is healthier than eating sticks of butter or cream cheese?

Make better choices.

What is wrong with lean meat and egg whites?

Nothing. I was referring to PB

The yolk in eggs is FAR, FAR, FAR superior of a fat source that PB.

You're doing a disservice to yourself by choosing the latter.

I'm not suggesting peanut butter is the healthiest food in the world, but it's far from the worst.

Are there any health benefits at all in butter or cream cheese? I have never seen either advocated for in any bodybuilding diet, yet the mention of peanut butter is fairly common.

Ok, that's my fault. I misunderstood the post.

I love whole eggs and have made an attempt to add them back into my diet. They just don't sit well in my stomach most of the time.

I have heard about the needed cholesterol that comes from eating egg yolks. Is that the biggest difference between it and peanut butter?

On the spectrum of good vs bad, I'd put it more in the bad side. It's in the same category as bacon, an indulgence food, a condiment at best.

Not much, same as PB. Anyone serious and knowledgeable about nutrition for BB, would never say that PB is a good food choice.

Yolks have lots of minerals that we tend to not get enough of, like iron, copper, zinc, biotin, selenium, and iodine.

Also have vitamins A, D, E, K, and several of the B vitamins.

Peanut butter has some nutrients, too. Especially Vit E. But I'd still choose other, higher quality nuts if I was going this route. Yes, I know peanuts aren't a nut.

@Diesel59

While it's not the worst choice, peanut butter is highly overrated and borderline worshipped by many.

The body's need for essential fats is low, so the extra that we eat IDEALLY should be packed full of other nutrients.

I full agree that as an indulgence food, it's great. But there's a difference there.
