On the spectrum of good vs bad, I'd put it more in the bad side. It's in the same category as bacon, an indulgence food, a condiment at best.
What about from a general health perspective, and not just for physique purposes?
I have a friend who suffered a heart attack. He is encouraged to eat peanut butter as a regular part of his diet, but was told to never eat bacon again.
Not much, same as PB. Anyone serious and knowledgeable about nutrition for BB, would never say that PB is a good food choice.
I have learned that since coming here.
But in the mainstream world of Instagram, YouTube, magazines and BB.com it's a common suggestion.
Yolks have lots of minerals that we tend to not get enough of, like iron, copper, zinc, biotin, selenium, and iodine.
Also have vitamins A, D, E, K, and several of the B vitamins.
It's surprising they have been demonized for so long given all of these benefits.

While it's not the worst choice, peanut butter is highly overrated and borderline worshipped by many.
The body's need for essential fats is low, so the extra that we eat IDEALLY should be packed full of other nutrients.
I full agree that as an indulgence food, it's great. But there's a difference there.
Thanks for the explanation. That makes a lot of sense.
If I'm going to take in 16 grams of fat, it's better when it comes from 3 large eggs where I'm getting a lot more micronutrients along with the fat.
