Hello everyone

I'm 43 yo and started working out when I was about 16. I was completely natural up until age 27 when I first took testosterone. I was on it for 5 years (not consecutive) until 32. I didnt really know what I was doing at the time, and although I got results, I went about it the wrong way. I was just young and looking to get jacked. I knew nothing of pct. I have suffered long term negative side effects due to my ignorance. I've had blood work done 3 times in the past year and my testosterone levels have fluctuated from 254 to 317. I was seeing an endocrinologist to hopefully get my levels back up, but she told me that since my testosterone was now above a 300, I don't need treatment. My body disagreed. I suffer from basically every symptom of low T. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm currently taking 200mg every 6-7 days of test cyp. I've been on a cycle for 8 weeks. I can see and feel the results already, and the downstairs dept seems to be doing slightly better. Whenever I come off, I want to correctly do pct. So ultimately, I'm just on here to educate myself by reading these threads and learn from others. I've been doing a decent amount of research for myself. And that's my story in a nutshell. Thanks

Welcome to the Underground.

Don't come off, stay on a true TRT dose, probably somewhere in the 100mg - 125mg per week range, based upon bloodwork.

Actually, go find a competent doctor.

Agreed, I definitely need another dr and preferably a male. Unfortunately for me I've been unsuccessful in locating another endocrinologist nearby.

And that makes sense about just staying on a lower dose cycle. I guess in my head I'm just programmed to think that it has to be done in cycles like I used to. What about pct? Would I just take an estrogen blocker the entire time also? Surely my estrogen levels are going to go higher than I want.

Although the primary reason for starting test again is to get my levels back to a higher range and improve my quality of life, I'm also taking advantage of the muscle building aspect of it.....as much as my popping, grinding, and painful joints will allow.

No PCT if you're on TRT. What the hell are you wasting your time with PCT for, since you're not making enough Test anyway?

Not necessarily with the estrogen. Almost everyone does NOT need an estrogen blocker on TRT. You're very unlucky if you actually need one. It's not a cycle, it's actual TRT.

Getting back to a normal Test level will give you gains, since you've been hypogonadal for quite some time. No need to push it.

I agree with cj.

I'm looking at the door that has 60 on it. I've had the same female endocrinologist for 10 years. I'm on 150mg test a week and I have to do three blood tests a year. Even on 150 a week my tests come back low for testosterone. Low even for my age. But 150 a week is the largest dose.

Put in the effort to find a new endo. Or doctor that does trt. Doing it yourself is a second avenue not the first.

Just saying. It is possible to considerable lower a testosterone blood test if you have enough warning. Look it up or ask around here in the appropriate section. Guys who do a ton of gear but compete in natural tested shows are the ones to ask.

All the best and don't give up so easily.

I'm not on any type of pct. I'm just assuming that because I never once did a pct years ago when I was heavily on test, maybe it plays a role into why I've had several side effects. I didnt do the proper maintenance and now the consequences of that have caught up with me? That's just my uneducated guess. That's why I was assuming that i needed pct. Again, i dont know either way. Ultimately that's why I'm here, I'm trying to educate myself better on the subject.

Thank you for all input.
