Hello, all.
Just popping in to introduce myself. I've been looking for a blog bodybuilding/lifting forum for a while that accepts all comers, and this seems like just the spot for me.
My name is actually Ben, but everyone calls me Bim because my son started calling me that when he was a kid. So I just go with it.
I'm not a professional bodybuilder, but I am working on building my body. I feel like my level of knowledge is somewhere in the area of knowing just enough to be dangerous to myself. LOL.
I'm 44. Fairly weak, but I'm staring to see bumps underneath my skin that I've heard are called "muscles".
I consume MASS quantities of Renaissance Periodization content. I like the guys. I like the science, and I feel like what little I've really learned has come from that.
I'm excited to be here and cruise around the boards. I'll have questions. Some might be dumb simply because I don't know they're dumb. I'll contribute where I can.
Overall, the forum looks pretty great so far, and I'm happy to have found it.
Thanks, all!

Thanks, man. Happy to be here.
I'm 5' 10 1/2", and I weigh 180. I used to clock in at 315, so I'm pretty happy to be at this weight. I'm not trying to get into any kind of competition shape or get shredded. I couldn't get shredded if I wanted to with the excess skin. LOL.
BUT I do want to leave the days of noodly arms behind. I'm on my way, but I can always stand more info, and this seems like a good place to get real-world advice/info.

Welcome. Seems that you know what you are doing. Quite refreshing to read an intro that doesent mention gear sarms or noodle arms. Well two out of three ain't bad.
44 isn't over the hill. But I bet you can see the summit by now.
Just saying. from a guy 15 years older than you. 44 is a great age to get regular bloodwork done. I've had three tests done a year for over a decade. Sure it doesent save you from everything. But it doesent hurt to know what's going on in there.

I get my bloodwork done every year as part of my exam. My family line is full of fun stuff like heart disease, degenerative joint disease, and other wonderful things that come with age or poor diet, so yeah. Always getting the bloodwork.
No gear for me. Ever. I have too much shit in my family line to mess with that stuff. I know that done safely, it seems to be a nice boost that won't kill you at an early age, but it's just not for me.
As far as knowing what I'm doing? Eh... I know enough to probably THINK I know what I'm doing! Bwahahahaha. Nice to be here, and nice to meet you, Rickt.
