For someone who is in calorie deficit about 500 to 600 calories per day, and attempting a recomp, about how long does it take for the metabolism to slow?

In my case, macros are 35% protein, 35% carb and 30% fat. Rest day, 1,450 calories, training day 1,800. I'm 5ft 6in, about 145 pounds. After about 5 weeks of this, scale in down on weekly average 0.75 to 0.85 pounds per week.

As with most things, it depends.

You can incorporate refeeds to push it further back.

You're still a long ways off, you've only lost 4 pounds.

Why are you cutting again? Did I miss something?

Numbers went up nicely, I didn't pick up any more fat but I didn't drop any, so I'm trying to see if I can keep the muscle and drop a little of the fat slowly. If it looks like I'm losing muscle I'll get back to maintenance.

You should just chill. You gained glycogen, and you're now losing glycogen. You've not given yourself a real maintenance period to let your body settle into your weight.

You know what I think about all of this (you're only 145lbs). This is how people spin their wheels. l'll get off my soap box now.

Good luck.

Just my pre-covid clothing, and I'm really close. I have a wedding to attend in October, so I want to fit comfortably into one of my suits.

Since months ago when @CJ told me I have less mussel than a middle school boy, I have added a good bit of strength. I'm not Ahnold for sure, but I have made some progress. I didn't think there would be any harm in trying to knock an inch off my waist.
