How to decrease my sex drive?

I know this is a weird question that isn't about bodybuilding, but you guys seem pretty knowledgeable about this kind of stuff and I'm not sure who else to ask.

I have a naturally very high sex drive and a crippling porn addiction. I do my best to abstain and even am recieving professional help in the form of therapy. That said, without getting into the specifics, my porn addiction is having an incredibly deleterious effect on my life and mental health and if I cant get it under wraps, I dont know what will happen.

My doctors are either unwilling or unable to work with me in terms of medication for lowering my libido outside of antidepressants (which dont work), so I've decided to take it upon myself. I could get testosterone blockers, but enjoy the many athletic benefits my naturally high T levels provide. I've noticed a slight libido decrease when taking a high dose of Mk-677 which, if I've done my research correctly, is due to the elevated prolactin. But apparently long-term that's not good either.

Im not here to get preached at or be told how lucky I am and that by 40 I'll wish I had this sex drive or whatever else. I appreciate the concern, but I'm serious when I say this is destroying my quality of life and I can't deal with it for much longer.

Please suggest supplements/substances/etc that I could take which could lower my sex drive without coming with a whole host of side-effects. Some side-effects are fine even, I'd be willing to deal with minor issues. I just don't want breasts or sub-100ng/dl test levels or something similar.

Thanks for the response. The various chemical castration drugs are ones I've considered, but they ultimately just nuke your T levels and I'm still not sure if sub-female levels of T is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for this.

Nuking your e2 will kill your sex drive.

Getting rid of a physical drive doesn't kill compulsions. Therapy is probably the real answer here.

This particular compulsion only occurs as a result of the sex drive. If I couldn't get physically aroused, my problem would be solved.

How do you know that's true? Porn addiction is often a sign of other underlying mental issues.

Like others have said, this sounds more of a mental issue that you will have to work out in your therapy. From a layman's perspective it sounds like you have way too much time on your hands. Work out more, get a 2nd job, get a hobby. You may have spent years making touching your cock your main hobby (i dont know you) . Changes are not going to happen over night.

Assuming this is a good faith post, porn addiction has nothing to do with sex drive.

Talk to your psychiatrist about Luvox. It's an SSRI but classified as an anti-obsessional. I have excellent outcomes with this compound for almost any compulsive behavior. Libido has nothing to do with your addiction. The pleasure centers in your brain are tweaked.

Not to mention the possible effect of the SSRI. But you're of course right, as OCD is essentially a seratonin issue.
