Hey yall! My friends call me Bird. I’m just a lady trying to take charge of her health. I’ve struggled with weight and gastrointestinal disease since my endocrinologist retired 12 years ago. Having kids definitely didn’t help the weight thing. I learned about peptide benefits and decided to try. I’m still a super newbie trying to figure things out but I’ll try not to ask stupid questions. I know a lot about wine and cooking so if you need advice don’t hesitate to ask. Idk.. that’s all I got. Talk to me nice

Ouch. Sorry to hear this. 😞

So why have you struggled since your endo retired? Is it just coincidence, or has your new/current endo not followed your previous protocol?

Yeah basically. My old endocrinologist was ahead of his time in his treatment process. He treated his patients based on family history and symptoms as opposed to strictly bloodwork. I have metabolic syndrome and most of my bloodwork comes back as normal so the new doctors will only treat my ulcers. But the gut is connected to a bunch of other systems. I can’t afford the expensive new wave California hippie naturopaths that I’ve found with his same philosophy. He was able to bill everything through my regular insurance company.

Hopefully you can find a good one, or this one will have an open mind.

Had nearly half of last year off work with colon issues. Had a resection November last year fixed a bunch of stuff ruined a bunch of others. Working with a urologist and pelvic physio at the moment to help with issues from previous gastro surgeries.

I'm now gluten lactose and nut intolerant from the resection. But as long as I'm able to get out of bed I keep training and keep going.

Don't focus on what's wrong. If both your arms and legs and eyes work get into life and enjoy what works. My wife of over 30 years refuses to let me give up on myself. She will get a tissue out when ever I start to feel sorry for myself. Then kicks my sorry ass.

You got this. Excess weight is like luggage at the airport. You will happily carry it around till you finally have somewhere else to put it. When you are really done with it you will see it go. Plenty people here experts on diet and exercise. When the student is ready the teacher appears.

All the best.
