Hey Everyone,

I've been reading/absorbing/integrating the info here for a few months now, figured it was time to introduce myself. I'm a 46 year old male, been doing serious resistance training for about 3 years solid now. I lifted pretty hardcore in my teens and early 20s but then life happened so I have a decent athletic foundation between that and high school/collegiate sports.

Recently (since March of '24) I have been on a cut and I'm down from 263 to 211 lbs (as of this morning's weigh-in) and have only recently started to lose a little strength. Nothing serious. My bench and OHP dipped about 10 lbs. I have been using (only recently mind you, most of the weight came off before) retatrutide, SLU-PP-332, yohimbine HCL, and MOTS-C to helps speed things up a little. Ret has crushed my hunger and makes it difficult to hit my protein targets so I suspect that is behind some of the strength losses. My diet is basically just chicken breast, rice, protein isolate shakes, eggs, oatmeal, non-fat greek yogurt, fruit, potatoes (sweet and russet), powdered peanut butter, broccoli, monkfruit sweetener as needed, and sugar-free maple syrup as needed (great on oatmeal).

I plan to begin using low dose HGH to help maintain (gain?) while I trim down some more. Also to help with loose skin. My goal (for now) is to get to 15-17% BF (currently at 29).

After I get lean enough, I would like to dabble in AAS. Nothing too crazy...I love my hair and my nuts. Any recommendations for a complete noob? Thanks for providing a great space to discuss and support this stuff!

Welcome!

I didn't see that you mentioned any previous use of AAS of any sort along with TRT. I assume your levels are good? Have you had a recent male hormone panel done? What is your workout routine? How tall are you? 52lb is a good loss if you are not super strict on your diet and workout program. Keep up the good work. How is your energy levels? Before you start taking HGH I would look into the peptide Ipamorelin with CJC1295 without DAC, it will enhance your natural production of GH (my personal opinion only.)

If you haven't spoken to a TRT doc I would make an appointment with one and get some bloodwork done, at that point you can determine if your levels are low enough to benefit from a TRT program or not, if your numbers are low just follow the doctors prescribed program and run it for a while and maintain your calorie deficit. After 6 months re-evaluate yourself and then maybe look in to adding a low dose of another compound to your TRT, either way, there is an abundance of information here from a lot of good members with years of experience you can critique whatever it is you decide to do, the help is here.

Hey thanks for the reply! I am 5'9". No, I have no history of AAS or TRT. I do plan to get bloodwork done but have not done so recently. My overall feeling and energy levels are great since losing the weight. I sleep better, I move around better, my workouts feel more productive, I can run for longer intervals, etc.

I have been running the Fierce 5 intermediate program for a couple years now. This is a 4 day upper/lower split. After my strength training, I get on the treadmill for some Zone 2 with 4/5 intervals for about 1-2 hours. I aim for 4-6 miles a day. I also do this on non-lift days. My only day off is Sunday.

Ipamorelin and CJC sound very intriguing. I will pick up a kit and give it a try. My supplier offers it premixed, should I get that or can you mix them yourself (seems cheaper to buy them separate)? Or is there some chemical process required to combine them effectively?

I will definitely look into TRT.

Welcome man, if the Reta is dropping appetite to a problem, why not go Tirz or Sema? Both cheaper as well. Sema takes me from binge eating lunatic to almost normal, by over eating lifter reference point at least, and that's at 1mg.

Pre-Mixed peptides aren't usually a idea, especially a GHRH/GHRP. Too fragile to begin with. Things like HGH pens either mix in there, or have been stabilized, but that's not common. YMMV, but I've never got HGH like results from the GHRH/GHRP's. You'll get some sleep improvements, and possibly some recovery, but don't mentally think of them like they're HGH, they're not.

Things like those are also best from really vetted suppliers, I've had a lot more be bunk that the other way around, especially if it's from China directly, then it's totally hit or miss. If you do bulk buy from China, make sure to test one.

Mine was compounded at a pharmacy in Florida, my doctor sells it and orders it from them, I get the kit and just reconstitute it per their instructions, it was hard to really tell how well it worked because he had me on a lot of supps right from the start, like another member mentioned, ordering it online is hit or miss, the nice think about it though is that it triggers your pituitary gland to produce more of your own natural production without taking actual gh and trying to time the shots right, take the ipa at night before bed.

It's always a good idea to learn. Steroids are a give and take. I think it was worth it.

Thing is, I don't want to upset the apple cart. The weight has been flying off with reta and it just seems to be the far superior drug (as far as I've read). I am still adjusting to it. I just took my week 5 injection which is around when you're supposed to increase dosage to account for tolerance but instead I am just sticking to 2mg. As long as I space my meals out wisely I should be able to eat just enough to get 200 grams of protein. A little strength loss is acceptable as I ditch my fat suit. I do appreciate your suggestion, though. I did not realize how much cheaper the semaglutide and tirzepatide were. I'll keep them in mind for maintenance and/or future cuts.
