This makes me wonder if their really is a correlation between bodyweight and strength or is there a massive genetic component ... this dude weighs only 147 lbs ... impressive ...

Leverages. Not to discount his strength but leverages are going to play a big part in DL.

Older people (me) can be such a drag.

710 @ 147 is damned impressive, and he still has years to get better.

For perspective, Lamar Gant pulled 639 @ 123 and 672 @ 132 back in the 1980s, and he did these in top level competitions. Detractors might argue Gant's Scoliosis was more of an aid than a handicap; his torso actually shortened during the pull. They might add those lifts were peak Lamar Gant, leaving him with less future than Nadil currently has. They might also add his long arms were an added benefit for Deadlifting, but then a Gant fan like me would counter with the fact he also simultaneously held the Bench Prs record a few times during those years.

Older Gents like me can be a real bitch about ancient history sometimes, but younger dudes like Nadil may astonish us for years as they approach their peaks and perhaps move up in bodyweight.

His lock out is at knee level, still pretty damn impressive at that weight.

I have seen some of the hugest humans in meets bench under 300 pounds and pull in the 700’s. I seen guys who look fresh off the street never looked like they have touched a weight pull mid 700’s. Powerlifting is one of those sports were you have to just shake your head and watch the fireworks.

this lift is Astonishing he has an amazing future if he stays motivated and healthy. Great work.
