That’s the way to do it!Yeah that shit sucks ..no big ranches up here really like Texas or other places , mostly small farms raising a dozen or so extra critters a year just to sell off.
Before we moved and had the space for them I would do 4 or 5 Black Angus every year.
99% of market beef is black angus. Reason being it’s a breed that guarantees to grade out choice or higher. Folks pay $1.50 a lb more for a choice steak pkg that says black angus on it. But guess what that cheaper plain choice cut steak is black angus as well lol.
