I really don't know where else to post something like this but this seems like a place I might find the right person or people. I am a wheelchair user who works remotely and I like to travel (45+ countries!) and stay somewhere for a few weeks or even months while working and exploring. My biggest frustration, however, is that I have been injured when flying because of the poor level of assistance I receive from airlines getting onto and off of an airplane (I've been dropped a few times). I have to be lifted from my wheelchair to the small plane wheelchair and then into my seat, and then reverse upon arrival. My friend jokingly said "you should find a bodybuilder or two who fly with you can lift you on/off the plane and help you when you travel."
At first that was laughable but it might actually makes sense. I am constantly looking for people who have free time to travel and my circle of friends and family is limited to people who can't travel like I can or don't like to travel. But those who have gone places with me have enjoyed themselves so hopefully that means I'm fun to be around.
So here's what I'm thinking and please feel free to direct message me if any of this sounds interesting. I'm pretty low maintenance day-to-day, it's just the logistics that give me some trouble:
Looking forward to fielding questions and travel ideas as I have nothing specific planned right now but this arrangement would get me really excited about figuring something out for this summer/fall 2025.
Cheers!

So here's what I'm thinking and please feel free to direct message me if any of this sounds interesting. I'm pretty low maintenance day-to-day, it's just the logistics that give me some trouble:
- First and foremost it's important to me that I explain that I am not looking for sex-related services and also not specifically for day-to-day caregiving services.
- Ideally we would fly/transit and lodge together (separate sleep areas/rooms) and I would cover those expenses. Food and sight seeing, you're on your own.
- You would be most helpful to me on travel days to make my life safe and easier:
- Lifting me onto/off of the various wheelchairs to and seats when flying. (I'd expect we'd practice this before we go!)
- During flight if I get uncomfortable you might help me reposition if I need help but that's rare.
- Upon arrival you'd help with getting me out of the plane of course, but also with luggage and logistics at the airport.
- Should we arrive and my wheelchair is broken (this is rare but CAN happen) then you would be there to help me fix it or get it fixed.
- When arriving at lodging you would help me get setup by unpacking my suitcase and probably moving around some furniture to make room for my wheelchair.
- When departing, you'd help me pack up, get the lodging back in order and do everything in reverse.
- While on the trip if my chair breaks down or something urgent happens, I would likely need your help but that's rare.
- You will not have to do much on a daily basis. For example you won't have to feed me, wipe my ass or help me change my clothes. I sleep in my wheelchair so you won't have to help with bed transfers either.
- I'm more of a daytime adventurer/nighttime remote-worker so I'm rarely out after dinner when I travel.
- I'm never against doing sight seeing or meals together (often times my "caregiver companions" (i.e. friends and family) gets into things free/discounts) but for the most part I'm fine with you doing whatever it is you want to do when we're wherever we are. I presume that would include gym time and eating a lot of chicken breasts plus whatever interests you of course.
- I have a great sense of humor about life and my situation, so there's very little I take too seriously besides safety. When I need help I ask for it. I am also an open book when it comes to everything, so I'd like to think that none of this would be awkward for you unless you made it awkward.
Looking forward to fielding questions and travel ideas as I have nothing specific planned right now but this arrangement would get me really excited about figuring something out for this summer/fall 2025.
Cheers!
