This isn't political and don't any of you fucks make it that way.

Tim Walz and his wife have two kids , Hope and Gus.

Gus is 17, has a nonverbal learning disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Walz has spoken about the importance of not trying to change him, but to help him enjoy his life.

At 8 minutes , a nonverbal special needs kid , in front of the entire world ,, stood up crying his eyes out and shouted .. THATS MY DAD THATS MY DAD !!!

It was one of the most beautiful things God has ever let me witness.

I am so happy for Tim and his Wife Gwen not for the DNC ,, not for being picked for VP and all that goes with it .. but for being able to hear and see their son cheer on his Dad.

God is good.

Yes absolutely. Politics aside, we're all people. Seeing such an important and emotion provoking moment will really get the feels going. I wish them all the best in their journey.

Similarly for me (ALSO NOT ABOUT POLITICS AT ALL!), after Trump took that grazer to the ear, then wouldn't allow SS to rush him offstage without first standing up to the crowd to show his strength in spite of fear, shouting "Fight! Fight!" was one of the craziest things I've ever seen.

I have an appreciation for great moments. Which have zero ties to my political beliefs. Thanks for this cool post @Yano

My Grandmother helped start a project that is still in existence for special needs adults helping them socialize , find jobs , be part of the over all community and feel important within it. My aunt had special needs and was never more than a 5/6 year old her entire life. One of our sons has Aspergers , high functioning autism.

I have a nephew in Alabama who was completely nonverbal , would freeze up and just scream if you tried to pick him up or touch him. From the time he was a baby until he was 7 when he walked up to his mother and spoke for the very first time in his life .. momma im thirsty ...

I will never forget the joy in my sisters voice , the tremble , her crying and thanking God. He still has issues and special needs but he found his voice.

Things like this choke me up and always will. I have a place in my tiny Grinch heart for those of us that are unique and special.

An to see that moment and thinking that might of been the first time that young man found his voice and it was cheering on his Dad ,, just hit me like a cement truck. You could see the pride and love on that kids face ... thats not his father ,, thats his DAD fucking beautiful

My heart goes out to you and your family. And as I watched the clip you posted, I too had my eyes water til it rolled over and onto my cheek. This all happened at work before doors opened. Helluva inspiring way to start the day.

I don't know you, but you seem like a good man Yano. Could use a few more like you out here in these streets.
