same car as a Ford Taurus.

Yeah, I thought it was a Ford Taurus until I saw the Mercury logo. I had never actually seen the Mercury version in person until today.

These cars always looked like a dead fish to me for some reason šŸ˜‚

Good way to put it. šŸ¤£ Especially the mid-late '90s era ones with the very odd windows.

The two vehicles that were most impressive to me that I've seen irl were a Ferrari and a big ol H1 Hummer.

Seen a few Lamborghinis and Ferrari moggs them into oblivion

the late 90s SHO were kind of a piece of shit, and not quite the same as the SHO with the Yamaha motors that could easily rev up to 10k RPM. They made decent power for the time, but it wasn't as easy to make more power like you could with the 89 SHO, or as reliably.

The '89 SHO, like in the article you linked, were badass... Yamaha engine that could rev forever, very easily modded, and could make tons of power. The current generation of SHO are also very badass and can make gobs of power with very minor mods.

I almost bought the most current generation of SHO... but I don't drive like a banshee out of hell anymore, I rarely make it to the track these days, and it just wouldn't get used the way that it should. I kind of wish I bought it, but also glad I got something more sensible for my age instead.

Id love to see a cyclone or a typhoon on the road. That would be pretty cool to see.

I'd also get a kick out of seeing a mint Starion or Conquest.... but that will never happen, those cars were rust buckets šŸ˜¢

I had to look up what that looks like. I have definitely not ever seen one of those on the road. šŸ˜‚ Definitely looks like it was a really cool car in its day, though.

it was very cool. It was the predecessor to the DSM collaboration being established in the United States. The collab that brought us things like the eclipse/talon/laser, gt3000 vr4/ Dodge stealth, and a few other cars I believe.

A person Iā€™m coaching in the same city sent me this picture of a vehicle after his check in videos. He saw it while walking home from the gym.

Itā€™s not very scientific, but I consider this photographic evidence Covid started in china.

those things were cool looking for sure and with the right package were quick for the day. they had like a 6.5 second 60mph time , nothing stellar but for 1990 it was quick

Another rare later 80s early 90s "sleeper" you dont see often is the two door model of the Lumina Z34 or the limited Dale Model. My mother had one of these for a time and it was a fun little car to drive.

going back a bit further, k-cars were fun and could handle at least 8psi of boost on the stock bottom end (more if the block came with forged internals, like the turbo lebaron). It was easy to weld up a manifold and all the piping for intake and exhaust.

K-cars are ugly AF in my opinion, but you can still have some fun in them. Lots of sleeper builds still lingering out there.

I had a Lamborghini riding my ass in my slow ass Trooper last night. Also saw a, what looked like a mint, 69 mustang Mach 1 today in orange. Almost came in my pants.

Found this for sale on Volo tonight , I had this as a model I built years ago ...

Things like this are why I have to petition and give reasons why I need more than a certain amount of money from my trust at any one time haahahah

Cause if I didnt , this would already be in a truck on the way to my house. I would end up dead broke in a few months but I would have a garage that made Jay Leno say ,, holy shit !

Who can identify this car I saw today? Clearly I'm more into the Doug DeMuro genre of vehicles because I don't know what this is.

Ferrari past that its hard to tell from just the tail section , I'm going to put .50 cents on it being an 1989 or 1990 348 or 348 TS

I believe Fiat Multipla got and actual award of "ugliest car of the year" it was somewhere between 2012 - 2016 (i might be wrong)
