Did anyone see the Ohio State Michigan game? I didn't have a dog in the fight but being a Penn State fan, it went well for me with Ohio State losing.

There was no need for what Michigan did at the end of that game. Apparently both teams were fined 100K but Michigan really started it. There was no need to entice a fight like that. You won the game, shake hands and go home with your head held high. I have a feeling none of that shit would have happened if Harbaugh was there.

Agreed. This behavior shows an inherent lack of discipline. Great victory, but very poor sportsmanship.

So you guys think Michigan deserves more blame for enticing a fight than Ohio State players do for actually starting a fight?

I don't blame the Ohio State guys for what they did. But the truth is they are the aggressors in this situation.

I dunno…. In my day rivals hated each other. You get the opportunity to stick it in a rivals neck u take it.

Kinda like blowing a team out at halftime and waiving at their fans as they leave. I realize this isn’t what they teach at the YMCA but seems par for the course in my time in sports. Believe times have just changed. For the luv of god don’t touch the quarterback. Smile, shake hands after the game, then go out and get yourself some ice cream win or lose.

Go look at some of those old Miami Hurricane games. Cussing fckers out at the coin toss, beating there tail, and letting em know about it. Those were my fav teams ever so I might be biased to the good sportsmanship stuff. But my advice is if Ohio state doesn’t like it then beat em.

Win with grace. Act like you've been there before. Cocky fucks never impressed me. I'll take a humble Larry Fitzgerald over a mouthy Terrell Owens every day of the week.
Both teams were in the wrong, hence the fines across the board. Michigan had to know what would happen after the flag plant and Ohio State fell for the bait. Lots of emotion; school pride and personal pride but no discipline. Trash talk is part of the game but this went above and beyond. This a a black eye for both schools. Play hard on the field. I'm not advocating for how pussified things have become, but take your shots where they count and don't be stupid.
I like to think most of us here could debate each other in person without beating the hell out of each other. I would hope that's the case.

Michigan fan here. My thoughts are both teams were wrong.

Michigan did not need to plant the flag, totally unnecessary. But, this is not without precedent in college football. Michigan is certainly not the first team to do it. To some extent to the victors go the spoils. They won, they earned the opportunity to celebrate.

Ohio State did not need to react the way they did. If you don't want your opposition to plant their flag on your field, then play better and beat them!

It was entertaining to watch. After the flag was torn down the first time, the player from Michigan got the flag back and proceeded to run on the Ohio State side with the flag, right in between in between OSU players. Of course, that ended as one would expect, not well. I do have to say that was a ballsy move!

Definitely a hell of a game. Trust me, I was rooting for Michigan and loved it.

I can't agree with what they did though. Win or lose, you. Do it with honor. Sure, it's been done before but it was never right.

Do you think that shit would have happened if Jim Harbaugh was there? Since you're a Michigan fan, you would probably know better, but I doubt it
