With Ozempic becoming popular in the past couple years, I’m wondering are bodybuilders using Ozempic or Jardiance and are UGLs producing it?

I haven’t seen many cutting cycle discussions where bodybuilders are using it?

Cutting is the hardest part of bodybuilding because of all the hunger and cravings. I still see people using DNP when they could be saving their food bills and prevent a heat stroke by going on Ozempic

Also, anyone here ever cut using it

There’s also Jardiance which acts differently than Ozempic. I have a bodybuilder friend who was prescribed it because he was abusing insulin. He described it as he could eat anything he wanted and still lost weight because it causes your body to not absorb food

The last thing I think a BBer that is prepping for a show needs is another drug. Between all the other drugs they take and near death at 6% BF, you're not in a great position to be adding in another drug. A pre-comp BBer does not fall into the normal parameters health wise so the side effects maybe greater using those drugs. Most of those GLP-1 drugs suppress your appetite and most BBers have the ability to deal with being hungry.

Jardiance may help since it blocks the body's ability to uptake glucose in the kidneys but once again I would caution it's use for the same reasons I previously mentioned.

As for DNP, I think you'll be chewing up too much muscle using it in a caloric deficit once past a normal BF%.

My conclusion is to just man up and avoid the additional drugs.

Just my opinion.

Ozempic reduces your appetite so when you're cutting under normal circumstances, you will lose protein and fat indiscriminately. There are better drugs to lose fat on e.g. Light dose of anavar is better while on a cut. Or even better a low carb diet. Besides I've also heard stories from ozempic users having psych problems e.g. depression. Not sure the prevalence but it's a lousy drug for offlabel use.

Regarding your question on whether UGL are producing it, yes some source it from pharmaceutical labs overseas and import it. Others source the peptide from manufacturers in China/India and sell it.

You absolutely can not say that this is true.

It's never been tested on subjects who are resistance training and consuming an adequate protein intake. And it sure as hell hasn't been tested on PED users.

The data you see, and are misinterpreting, is on regular people, the vast majority of which don't train, and aren't concerned with adequate protein intake. They're just obese people trying to lose weight.

The same exact thing would happen if they weren't taking Ozempic. Ever hear of skinny fat people?

I have heard some BBers even pros talk of using these substances. Trying to make difficult things easier is just human nature. I tend to think more drugs in general is not the best option. There are many that i have choose to avoid. But few care about my opinions i find and end up doing when they want.

I'm with you, less drugs is better. Especially if one is taking a drug to offset the unwanted effects of another drug, and then another to offset that drug's unwanted effects... 🤣

Firstly I'm not a biomedical scientist. What I know from Ozempic is from PubMed/researched articles. You're right, the BB and PED users aren't the samples in the research cases but considering each person isn't running the same cycle, you can make the same point for PED users - that there's no consensus.

100% agree that it's on regular people - but even so, if you're overeating, you could consider THAT population as overeating on carbs, proteins AND fats. Therefore, adequate protein intake.

Here's a short section from a scientific article (because these are people more dedicated in drug action than me - and has been fact checked by their peers)

Only three GLP-1 agonists- exenatide extended release, semaglutide and dulaglutide (as albiglutide is withdrawn in 2018) are currently approved for once-weekly dosing.

GLP-1, a major incretin hormone in humans, acts by numerous mechanisms like augmented insulin secretion (glucose-dependent), inhibition of glucagon release and suppressed hepatic gluconeogenesis [6]. It also causes delayed gastric emptying, reduced appetite and energy intake

Translation: Semaglutide/Ozempic acts to release GLP (a hormone) for long periods.

GLP increases insulin secretion (Sweet... anabolic activity for a PED user on good diet, progressive overload workout, and good sleep)
It inhibits glucagon release and reduce GNG (wtf... less short acting carbs so you could experience difficulty in pushing through sets)
It delays gastric emptying, reduced appetite and energy intake. (So you feel fuller and eat less which is OK on a cut, but aren't there better ways of cutting?).

In saying so CJ, there's scant research in Ozempic outside the obese patience so we cannot generalise for the BB community but since we're all humans, considering the parallels, you have to make whatever conclusions you can with the research we have.

Possibly, when they're overeating. But as your link stated....
It delays gastric emptying, reduced appetite and energy intake. (So you feel fuller and eat less which is OK on a cut, but aren't there better ways of cutting?).
So now on Ozempic, or similar, they are NOW undereating, under consuming protein, and the vast majority aren't training appropriately.
In saying so CJ, there's scant research in Ozempic outside the obese patience so we cannot generalise for the BB community but since we're all humans, considering the parallels, you have to make whatever conclusions you can with the research we have.
My point stands. You've stated/shown nothing to show that what I'm saying is untrue.

I’m not talking about adding Ozempic on top of T3 and DNP or Clen. I’m talking about replacing it.

Yes having disciple and fighting off hunger is the best route but what’s the point of using DNP/T3/Clen?

I see people still using DNP. I would think Ozempic would be a better option.

Also all this about not getting enough protein; that’s based off of normal people who already eat very little protein. There’s still a diet to stick to. Ozempic just makes it easier to cut out all the excess calories.

I just thought that Ozempic would be popular among bodybuilders for cutting

If anything could possibly give an advantage, it'll be tried.

On other forums people are widely using these for cutting along with their high dose of hgh… but they are having to actually set timers and force foods down… im going to try monjouro, because it helps with fatty livers, and cholesterol… both of which i have issues with and my chitty body… but i also suffere from low blood sugar at times… so who knows how its going to effect me… so thus i may be adding in gh to aid in the steadying of blood sugars whilst on it…

I use a low dose of tirzepatide just for the insulin sensitivity / nutrient utilization benefits and overall health benefits of it. When I want to diet harder I just increase the dose, and it makes it so much easier to stay on my diet plan.

That's the biggest benefit for me overall is I don't get insane hunger cravings I used to get all the time. If I were competing, damn straight I'd use it. The shit is amazing.

Like 3mg. I split it into biweekly injections too.
Thats cool and good to know, makes me wonder if less is more in some situations? Not sure if i can do 3mlg shots… i may have to start super low and work my way up super slowly
