Sorry to hear Ted. You're keeping it together just fine, don't rush the recovery. You're currently still "goals" for 60% of the people in your average gym. Not too bad for having drains in you still.

Guys.

While I not dying or have a permanent injury, there’s enough life-things that made last week pretty frustrating.

I’m down 10lbs in water weight likely since the start of July when I had two large abcesses drained. One on each glute.

I haven’t pinned since June. I’m gonna try to PCT and see if my surgeon will refer me to an Endocrinologist so I can skip the visit to my useless PCP.

The fear of coming off gear, when I’m already mediocre, is scary. Especially as I’m also in recovery and gonna atrophy during this month or more without the gym.

It’s been 110°+ here all week. A few days at 116 and 117 respectively. Walking even causes me to bleed through my packing, bandages, and clothes.

So I’m fortunate to not be in pain or have any symptoms of recover beyond liquid craps and drains in both butt cheeks that leave blood wherever I sit or stand for too long.

I’m eating about as much as I did pre surgery, but avoiding desserts and sweets to prevent accumulating fat from being sedentary.

Today I opted to do a few sets of push ups without any glute issues. Beyond that, I’m not sure what else to do. I don’t have my car right now; it’s in the shop. So I’m truly stuck at home.

I could probably get some DBs to do raises, presses, and possibly flies with. But that’s all I’m likely to have for the next two weeks. Given I’ve already been out of the gym for nearly two weeks.

My immune system tanked fighting the abcesses I guess, so my back looks very cow-print. It’s a non-contagious skin condition brought on by hormonal changes and compromised immunity.

I’m getting a haircut and trim on Thursday. So hopefully I’ll look less raggedy.

Had to skip an out of town beach trip and a music festival, so summer plans are shot: I’m not able to swim or supposed to be in the sun or heat.

Ya know I love ya and I'm not afraid to speak my mind so here goes ...

Don't be so gay !

It's a set back , a bump in the road or in this case your ass ... it is what it is. Heal up use this time to reflect , relax , plan out your next scheme of sets and reps. Be constructive.

We play stupid games ,, we win stupid prizes from time to time , this time you won the bonus round.

The abscess they drained out of my leg left me with a hole I could put a stick of butter in. I healed

I had a fucking stroke man , months of sitting in a chair staring out a window not being able to walk , talk , blink my God damn eye or feed myself ... I healed.

I just compressed 2 nerve roots in my back , shit all over myself , shut off my left leg and had to drag it around ... guess what ,, i'm fucking healing.

Don't let your anxiety take over and drive you into being depressed. Every one with a dream has suffered for their chosen art / love / desire ... its just your turn ,, dont act so special

This is only the end of the road if you want it to be.

I understand everything challenging that you have been dealing with lately. Best Wishes.

Now please tell me something happening or coming up that you are excited for.

Lol. So I’m in the 40-percentile. (Cries)

Well, nothing is on the books right now. Doc says I may not get my drains out until the middle of August. Which is when I return to work.

Also, my insurance deductible is $8,000, so I paid $8k this month in medical.

I also have a court-date in August for work drama. It will determine whether I can work past Sept. So yeah… nothing planned.

*I’d like to go to a concert in August, but my husband doesn’t think he can get that day off.

On Friday, a friend is moving away, so *I hope to have fun at his going-away party.

I hope the Deadpool movie is fun.
I hope I win the case and stay working.
I hope we can reschedule our trip to the beach.

Is your husband not okay with you going by yourself or with a friend? Or is this a situation where either he doesn't want you to go unless he gets to go too?

I don’t want to go without him.
Dancing with a friend isn’t as fun.

But progress.

Doctor removed one tube, a little hesitantly. They said that they hoped to remove both today…but their original estimate was 4-6 weeks, so I was confused.

They didn’t want to remove either tube after looking, because there’s still some pus, but especially because my bandage had some blue on it. If their concern is that the blue is a specific type of bacteria, however, that specific type of bacteria is directly combated by the antibiotic I am currently on. I think that the blue has only been showing up the last two days which is when I’ve been treating the skin condition on my back which causes a spotty tan, I’m using medicated blue. Dandruff soap.

So doctors orders are to stop using soap and ensure that bandages aren’t changing colors. The doctor also ordered a flexible, shower nozzle so I can blast my wounds. they told me that there’s no point in packing gauze anymore because of how quickly it has healed up

The doctor expects to remove my second tube next week, as long as they don’t see any complications. They don’t like that. I’ve been on antibiotics for two months and I only have three days left. They’re uncertain if that’s enough time but also don’t want to keep me on.

Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to pay my primary care doctor to refer me to an endocrinologist. I am hoping he puts me on TRT which I can then use as a segue to get convince my Husband that I should blast and cruise again.

Dr. also said I am free to exercise as long as it doesn’t aggravate the injury or get it dirty. I will probably wait until I get my second tube out doctor said they don’t see how exercise could make it worse… even though I have four thumb sized holes in my butt cheek

Consider going, codependency is not a good thing. It's good for couples to have their own experiences, on top of joint experiences, so they can bring that experience and energy back into the relationship.

Day 15, post surgery.

1. No pain. Haven’t had a single instance of pain beyond a “oops, that hit my drain” panic since first anesthesia poke.
2. Still draining. One side doesn’t have a drain, leaks mostly just healing fluid. Other side has a blue bacteria and gunk still. Doc will keep me on antibacterial for a second month at this point and they’re super unhappy about what that may mean for gut health.

*I have a Pityrasa Versicolor condition, was around back of neck, spread across lats, then delts, and now forearms. Like a smaller vitiligo. Tan blotchy and white. Due to skin chemical imbalance, immune system, hormone, and yeast. Solution is 6 weeks of medicated dandruff body wash, but I am not supposed to start until my wounds heal up. In the meantime I’m getting blotchy all over.

3. Doctor referred me to bloodwork and Endo. It’s been about 3-weeks since my last 200mg Test-C injection. Not sure when to bite the bullet for my blood draw. He DID give me both the referral and initial blood test. The Endo should understand I haven’t hit rock bottom yet.

What would you advise for when to get that Test blood work done?

It has also been 3-weeks since my last workout. I’m weighing in at 188 now. Weight continues to drop. Trying to keep protien up and eating as I normally do, just much less activity and no test.

I used to get tinea versicolor outbreaks on a regular basis despite being healthy, though I haven't gotten any after being on Accutane. Goes away very quickly with the ketakonazole

Look on the bright side ,, maybe you can keep the drain holes open and if it all heals up ,, you're a gay guy with THREE holes in his ass .. i mean ,, thats like a dream come true right ? ;)

On a serious note , im glad ya healing up and doing better , keep ya head up and thinking positive.

Could be the antibiotics, could be coming off gear, could be stress (I think this week I’ve handled stress better)… but forehead is breaking out bad

Wait
How was I flexing the abcesses? I could flex them solid and putt them out and hard. Like Synthol oil or fake Popeye arms?

I mean… I can’t swim rn, on antibiotic, and I’m healing… why not go get pierced this next weekend

I was thinking end of Sept. but wouldn’t it make more sense to do it before going back to work?

188lbs

At home workout. Drains removed. Wounds open.

DB Calve Raises: 4x15x 50lbs
DB Shoulder Press: 4x15x25
DB Trap Shrug; 4x15x25
DB Hammer Curls (a little tough actually): 4x15x25
DB Overhead Tricep Ext: 4x15x25
Pushups: 25, 20, 15, 15 difficult
DB Lateral Raises; 10, 10, 10, 8 much harder than usual

Overall, a lackluster workout where I was challenged by stuff I’d usually do to waste time. Kinda frustrating.

Accepting that:
1. I was stupid and this is my stupid prize.
2. I have to heal.
3. I lost significant strength and visual size.
4. I have to stay on it to mitigate my losses.
5. I was not big, was not on track to be big. Now I need to aim more realistically for natty and my frame and my habits. Just aim to *look* athletic.

Not even gonna try to look like a body builder. Just try to look good.

Once I’m healed, I can focus on fixing my spotted cow-skin that’s spreading across my body.

I had a trainer at my gym ask me what I was trying to achieve with my physique and the answer I came up with (which confused him) was "I want people to say "hey do you work out?"

No!! I don’t want people to ask that. They used to.
Or they’d ask if I played sports.

Last year they’d assume I lifted and strangers would ask if I competed or what my best lift was.
