Ive got a bucket of old coins , I used to collect em when I was a kid.I forgot all about that. I remember it now that you say it, because my grandfather got me into collecting coins and Mercury dimes are one of the coins he gave me a lot of.
This one I found last night has no mint mark.
I never knew this, but that makes sense. Maybe one of these days I will come across something like that. I've found coins as old as a 1915 Buffalo nickel with surprisingly little wear.

Back then you would still find the occasional wheat penny or buffalo head nickel , havent seen those in years. Ive got a few steel pennies too from the 40s when most of the copper was going to the war effort.
