I wouldn't piss on him if he ran up to me on fire screaming for help.

Now that's an ego. He could spread the wealth with the little fish, but who does that?
Socialists? I'd rather earn my own way personally. But to each their own.

Like when he's given free Internet access to tens of thousands in disaster areas where he knows he won't gain customers from it? To people with oppressive govt's? Places like Ukraine that's being demolished by Russia? I'm not going to pretend I pay any attention to his donations habits because I don't, I only know what makes the news which I barely pay attention to, but nobody's obligated to either. But it seems that he does his part. I don't count the directly political stuff.

Many of the things we enjoy as Americans are actually constructs that would be considered socialism... but no one thinks about those things or cares.

It's the most common and mundane things too, that without them would make life a nightmare.

I personally think he gave all those sat uplinks out to Ukraine so he could track all the data then sell it when it was time to the highest bidder .. most likely Putin.

He has done some cool things but I dont think its due to his love of humanity or being a philanthropist , I think he's a greedy scumbag that preplans how to best fuck people over and come out on top.

Elon is the man, and one of the most intelligent people I've ever heard SPEAK!

He saved democracy by saving Twitter and turning it into X. Before it basically the digital version of MSNBC and full of BLM screeching, bitter 3000 pound bitches with blue hair/septum piercings, and other Marxist crap.

Now it’s back to normal and it’s saved our Democracy

Agreed, more or less.

He seems to appeal to the same demographic(s) as Joe Rogan

I.E.: He's the dumb guy's smart guy.
Not to long ago he was a Lefty.

Yes, that woke up to reality. That's a positive not a negative.
He didn't wake up, he got his feelings hurt that they didn't pay attention to him and then changed sides.

There's more to it that that, but it sums it up. Him throwing a tantrum because someone didn't give him attention probably accounts for AT LEAST 50% of the crazy shit he does. He's such a sensitive and insecure cunt 😂

He's a crap person with some idiotic ideas and some interesting ones. I recently heard him ranting about how it's literally immoral to work from home, because it's not fair to those who can't work from home. Bro, what? I have a job that can't be done from home, other people working from home does zero to make my life more difficult. Immoral would mean remote workers are making my life more difficult. There's nothing immoral with someone having a better career life than another person.

If we were going by that insane logic, it's immoral that I've got a middle class job while other people are working the same hours as me barely making a living, it's immoral that other people get more vacation time than me, etc.

I suspect you feel this way about all successful business people.

I don't know what to think of Elon, and of course I don't know him personally. All any of us know about him is what we see in the news. Being in software, I can tell you its widely believed that he is a bear to work for; unreasonable and unfairly demanding. I have never worked for him personally, but that's his reputation.

Of course, if you have the skills and want to work on unique projects, than Elon is the guy to work for. His companies do amazing things from a technology standpoint and very few people get an opportunity to work on projects of that magnitude.

From what I have seen, it does seem to me that he is a strong believer in free speech, representative democracy and helping people who are in need. I think he provided those sat terminals to the hurricane victims because he wanted to help, not because he would get something in return. Similar in the Ukraine; I think he sees Putin as the bully who needs to be defeated.

He built Tesla on government support to his customers, but all that means is he took advantage of an opportunity. I really dislike EVs, but Elon sells them to people who want them. I have not heard him support ICE car bans, although maybe he does.

But I can say this: He is more than willing to invest (that is, risk) his own money in high risk ventures that advance the state of the art. He is also able to put together complex partnerships and deals that are necessary to accomplish these goals at that scale. Whether he is a devil or a saint, society needs people like Elon.
