Here's a summary of that test. Also, here's an article that touches on *SOME* of the things I mentioned below https://cbs2iowa.com/amp/sports/con...petition-just-before-match-with-russian-boxer

The IBA makes those claims, but refuses to provide test results or the lab that performed the test. All they say is that is was some unspecified test... wtf does that even mean, because there are specified tests available for this shit.

The IBA is by an large a governing body based out of Russia.

The supposed testing and disqualification came after Imane beat a Russian boxer, stripping her of the win.

The IBA has been documented in rigging matches.

The IBA has financial misconduct documented against them as well.

The IOC has banned the IBA from participating as judges due to the corruption, match rigging, and financial mismanagement.

The IOC has blocked Russia from team sports, due to Russias attack on the Ukraine. This means that Russian athletes can't represent their country, and have to compete as "neutrals". Needless to say this pisses Russia off.

So people can trust the IBA, and their refusal to provide evidence of their claims. Given the shady history of the IBA, I'll choose to believe the IOC instead... Which we know conducts physicals prior to competition.
The more I hear about it it appears she was born a female and raised as a female. It seems to be pretty straight forward to find out the facts.
If she does have a y chromosome it has to give her an advantage.

I don't know, but if someone is born with no junk, that means she's a woman.

I say go back to simpler time when all you had to do to confirm you are man or woman is to drop your drawers.

Looking further into that fire, it appears there have been multiple fires in Bangladesh this year alone that were deadlier and costlier than this one.

Perhaps it's not quite as big of a deal as it seemed to me.

Hopefully things don't get too crazy in Bangladesh before new leadership is established.
Well, I believe it is from a national point of view and it's just a reflection on the incredibly f*** up system they have. Since they split from Raj, then after 20 years of struggle with Pakistan (that kept control only on their side) where they sided with India, they were constantly moving here and there from supporting ethnical groups also via quotas. And as the army is the only opportunity for economically weaker guys, they supported this "liberators' quota".
Sad thing is that albeit India helped them, it's some kind of islam rennaissance in there, but not the sophisticated one, but the very simplistic one which I must admit is not very sympathetic to me. They cry about being discriminated, but how they are discriminating Hinduist population - I don't see a single headline. How they treated mountain ethnical minorities that are not muslim (In Chittaggong mainly - therrawadi Buddhists), I don't see a single headline or sorry.
Therefore, sad to admit, but I don't have much sympathies with them.
Don't get me wrong, I am not against Islam - but I like the tolerant schools, not the newborn Ghazali fans who don't even get the philosophy of it.

They cry about being discriminated, but how they are discriminating Hinduist population - I don't see a single headline.

This is where news sources begin to butt heads. Indian news sources are claiming these attacks are widespread over the last few days, while non-Indian news outlets seem to be reporting them as isolated incidents.

A former coworker of mine from Bangladesh has been posting Instagram stories saying things along the lines of "please don't do this" in regards to some protestors getting out of hand.

How they treated mountain ethnical minorities that are not muslim (In Chittaggong mainly - therrawadi Buddhists), I don't see a single headline or sorry.

To be fair, how much coverage is given to this region in general?

It's not as if American or European news sources are ripe with headlines about Anti-Muslim discrimination in India either. Or the uptick in anti-Christian hate crimes that have taken place in Pakistan.

I think for many people, these places and issues are of little interest.

you're right. Used to listen to Al Jazeera too, but they are ok only for certain regions too and at the end, all the nations tend to be one sided. CNA Insider wasn't bad, but generally SEA has fell (not the CNA to be fair) into a modern young nationalism and the local newspapers are very single-sided, so I don't tend to read Malay, Indonesian or Thai stuff as it's oversupervised.
Also, occrp.org is pretty ok, but only for a crime, not for these eruptions of violence. So you need to speak to locals.

E.g. from Burma, I got info only in Thailand, having a dinner with a group of fleeing Shan (which is a Thai related minority) who described the real events. You can't even get proper reports from there (I think only French Arte had few documentaries with a fella penetrating to Chin territory from Manipur).

Unfortunately, we thought we're getting modern, but only the technologies are becoming modern, people are far behind with society mindset - the result is also this lack of proper news.

The UK is preparing for a rough night:

Far-right groups in the UK were planning to gather in more than 30 locations across the country on Wednesday, more than a week after rioting first erupted, spurred on by anti-immigration conspiracy theories.

The targets of the demonstrations, which have frequently turned violent, were buildings housing asylum seekers and offices of immigration lawyers, according to a Telegram list that was leaked to the media.

The UK government said on Monday it would mobilize some 6,000 specialist police officers to tackle the worst disorder the country has seen in over a decade.

Prime Minister Kier Starmer took part in an emergency government meeting on Tuesday evening, telling reporters afterward: "We are doing everything we can to ensure that where a police response is needed, it's in place."

"Obviously it's a difficult situation with disorder going on in a number of different places at the same time," he said, adding that the government was trying "to co-ordinate the response and to get the assurance that I want and need that we do have adequate police in place, that we are able to cope with this disorder."

The medical field in India is on strike following the rape and murder of a medic:

Indian medical professionals on Saturday began a 24-hour shutdown of non-essential medical services across the country, as protests against the rape and murder of a fellow medic intensify.

The shutdown, which began at 6 a.m. (0030 GMT), will cut off access to elective medical procedures and out-patient consultations in the world's most populous nation, according to a statement by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

Essential services would remain operational, the medical body said.

Israel has launched a major operation in the West Bank:

The Israeli military carried out raids across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday in what Foreign Minister Israel Katz said was a bid "to dismantle Iranian-Islamic terror infrastructures" in the Jenin and Tulkarem refugee camps.

Palestinian officials said at least 10 Palestinians have been killed in fighting in the two cities.

Since Israel began its retaliation against the Islamist extremist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip in response to the deadly October 7 attacks on Israel, the Israeli military has been carrying out near-daily raids in the West Bank that it says aim to root out militant groups there.

Israel, Germany, the United States and several other countries designate Hamas as a terrorist organization.

At least 652 Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed by Israeli fire since the war in Gaza began some 10 months ago, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Israel has said it is targeting armed militants in the West Bank, but at least 115 of those killed were children, according to the UN's humanitarian agency OCHA.

think it's fine to question if it's fair for a woman with a DSD that results in increased androgen levels and an XY chromosome pair to fight other women
This is where the conversation should begin.

A flight from India to Germany made an emergency landing in Turkey due to a bomb threat:

A piece of paper with the words "bomb on board" was found in the lavatory of the plane, prompting the crew to make an emergency landing.

The flight landed at around 4:30 pm local time (1330 GMT).

"As of 23:30, we have completed all search and examination operations. As a result of the work we carried out, we found that the bomb threat was unfounded," Erzurum governor Mustafa Ciftci told reporters.

After receiving the alert, the authorities planed to land the plane at either Ordu or Trabzon cities in Turkey, but the flight was ultimately diverted to Erzurum due to air traffic, Turkey's TRT news reported.

Other flights landing and taking off from Erzurum airport had been stopped as a precaution. The halt was lifted after the threat was cleared.
