In 2014 I had valve replacement for the same reason as you. Also had a by-pass and repair to aortic aneurysm. I was 50 yrs at the time. I went with the tissue valve, hope to get 20 yrs out of it, but it will have to be replaced/repaired again at some point...
For those having issues using the Oly grip with Front Squats, in my experience, alot of times it is more and issue with shoulder/lat flexibility than wrists.
Also, one can use wrist wraps wrapped on the bar and use them in handles .......
Obviously for training, not necessarily for heavy lifts
Yeah, My understanding is the growth plate issue/stunted growth has been disproven.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't planning on loading up the bar and going for any max attempts. Definitely going to be teaching movements.
