Great article, and I don’t disagree with anything he said.

That said, even as a white man, my father gave me those same instructions when he told me how to act towards police officers and they’ve always served me well. Common sense dictates that, even if you don’t like police, being polite, respectful, keeping hands visible and not making sudden movements around an armed person in authority would be the smart move.

I’m not naive; I’m well aware that black people are treated differently; I see my black friends and coworkers go through it, and I can’t claim to understand how it feels to always be watched with suspicion because of the color of my skin.

I was always taught to respect authority!
And have had several run in with the police,which I've always yes sir,no sir them to death, yet I've also experienced situations where once the cuffs are on, there ways and attitude changes and they become tuff guys! Which I've always continued, yes sir,no sir, thank you sir! So I have to say.....f**k da' police...comin str8 fro da' underground!!!! Thank you sir!!!!
