Finally I'll get real sleep!! It's a casino bartending gig so it's pretty decent as far as bartending goes. Easy work and fast money. Wanted to share the good news with my Internet friends.

Probably won't make as much as I did on nights but my quality of life will be much higher.

Congrats man, I work third shift. Have for a while, I just don't want to lose my shift diff at the moment. One day I'll have a normal schedule!

My days of working overnights is over. It's not worth any shift differential that you might get, you'll find that out.

Yep, I've worked it a lot over the years. I was on a late 2nd shift for last several years, then went back to 3rds. I noticed it's not as easy for me to go home and get any good sleep like when I was younger. I'm hanging on to it as long as I can though.

And it's 100% not healthy. Quality of life is shit working nights, relationships with friends and family suffer, you're constantly tired and grumpy...

It's a young man's game. I'm surprised I never really got sick these past several months. Working 16 hour shifts and working on a 3 hour nap.

The money was good but I was pretty cantankerous most of the time.

You deserve a promotion for "cantankerous". 🤩

16 hours of work after 3 hours of sleep is still bad for you regardless of time frame. Will you be able to have less days like that now?

I worded that poorly. I only had to do that a couple times. I worked many doubles, but mostly with a decent amount of "sleep."

I can only pick up one shift a week now so I should be much better rested. I'm excited lol
