Comedy that's aged well and aged poorly

I heard from a comedian I really like that Larry the Cable Guy is one of the funniest guys he knows. Apparently he was a victim of his own success and got sort of typecast. I think it was Ron White

I can definitely believe that. I think not long after he blew up, he embraced the role that people wanted him to play and became less funny over time.

Not that I blame him...he had a big run and made a lot of money.
