I just returned from a 4 day stay at the WilWin lodge, in Western Michigan. This is a 1100 acre property owned by the American Legion, available at no cost to disabled Veterans and their families.
The set up is simple, nothing fancy, plain and clean. Nobody else around except for a few other families, also DV families. Private lake with canoes and pontoon boat. Golf carts available. Grills and firepits provided. No internet, faint cell signal. Well water,, we brought bottled. Not a dime spent there, nothing you could spend your money on. Town is 25 minutes away, Silver Lake (sand dunes!) and Ludington.
They will request DD214 and VA certification.
Check it out, pass it on, let me know if you have questions.
