Do they make caps for these media bottles with butyl stoppers? Would give me a little peace of mind to slap one of those on a medial vial before transferring.

Yeah it is an open top cap and the stopper has a name like septic or sepsis... something like that.

It's called a septa. Med lab supply has em.

Well eff. Doesn't say a neck size for the above unit.

I found some 33mm caps and 45mm caps and plugs but the plugs are out of stock. Boo!

you will def need those, as Pillar said...very necessary...wait on them things to stock and grab em. I used those and mine kept getting clogged up, it was a dirty batch but I ended up switching to the Whatman and it went smooth.

Really? The Whatman zap caps or syringe filters?

sorry... I got side tracked. But I use the whatman syringe filters and the Millipore filters
