I don't understand, maybe someone here can explain it.

But Bud Light has been sorta of a sissy beer since the beginning and we all know that. Guys that drink it religiously know that.

So now they got a sissy spokesperson and everyone is suddenly pissed off?

I mean, if one of these tranny sissy types are going to drink beer, then what else would you expect them to drink than Bud Light? Michelob one maybe?

Makes a lot more sense than Yuengling , Modelo or Heineken to try to market to them.

So you guys that drink that stuff, why all the outrage over the sissy?

Are you fucking kidding me ... try coming down south and calling (previous) Bud light drinkers sissies ...

Its been around nearly 40 years ... it was in the top 3 beer sales in the US prior to this debacle ...

I personally am fiscally conservative but socially liberal having spent my 1st 18 years in southern California ... and really could care less about people changing their gender ... I just don't appreciate it when companies thinking it their place to tell their customers how to think on any topic ... sell your product and shut the fuck up ...

I don't like Bud Light, or any beer at all for that manner. I'm not a drinker, but if I am going to have a drink I'll go for something liquor based or even straight liquor before beer.

Being a top 3 beer as @transcend2007 pointed out shows that Americans from all walks of life drink the product. But I'd imagine much like the Ford F-Series being the #1 vehicle, a predominant chunk of that customer base are conservative, "patriotic" types of people with a certain set of views. People who simply don't approve of a brand they like making a transgender person one of their brand ambassadors, especially a transgender person who comes across more as a caricature of a woman than anything else.

Bud Light probably isn't the beer of choice for very many hipsters hanging out in trendy gentrified districts with fancy restaurants. It's the beer of frat boys, rednecks and fat guys trying to cut back their beer gut. Bud Light's marketing team miscalculated, and now they're paying for it.

I'm not saying they're sissies my friend.

I'm from Louisiana and know all to well how popular Bud Light is around here.

Fact is most of the guys that drink it religiously, do it because it's very light and easily drinkable. You can drink it all day long out in the woods and still find your way home.

You can drink as much as you can hold, and still not be stumbling around drunk or passed out on the furniture.

Exactly my point.

These tranny/sissy types that want to drink a couple beers, what else would be recommended?

I personally am fiscally conservative but socially liberal having spent my 1st 18 years in southern California ... and really could care less about people changing their gender ... That's what I'm saying.

I think as far as beer, there's no other better product to market to those people.

For the same reason, all these rednecks drink it.

It's sorta of a sissy beer by intention.

If you don't want to drink it, I say fine.

I've never drank it myself, because it's not really beer in my taste of beer. I'll only drink one of it's all you've got. And I know a lot of people who drink a lot of it.

From a marketing perspective, they drink it for the same reason it just might appeal to the sissies.

That's what has me confused.

Obviously most people that drink bud light aren't sissies.

But if sissies wanted to drink classic American beer, is there a better alternative for them?

Does it have to be one or the other from a marketing perspective? Did they intend to alienate a customer base?

Why would it change anything to someone who drinks it?

I think the problem they have is bud light paying a tranny who makes content for primarily 14-17 year olds.

The demographic that drinks bud light isn't particularly fond of trannies in the first place. Doubly so for one that is trying to make a living making tik toks for their kids.

It's a pretty easy lesson in marketing to try to get a new audience. Don't market to your customers that won't be able to drink for a half a decade in a way that alienates the customers that are buying your product today.

I can’t tell you why all the outrage. I have not looked into the deal or paid much attention.

I just think it’s pretty dumb to try and market to a community that may make up what idk .5% of the population?

Bud light is disgusting. Its like light beer with sugar added.

The idea that a company selling the worst drug on a planet should make a moral stance on anything is hilarious. But what’s truly funny is how dumb this ad campaign was. Dumbest move in history and Im happy to see them floundering for it.

So glad this happened, it shows how much these companies are just jumping in the LGBTQ wagon just because they think it’ll up revenue. Then they realize the .01 % of the world dollar will not help replace the 45% that think it’s a mental disorder. Woke = Broke lol

I will admit this marketing move seems kind of weird; considering that supposedly trans people make up 0.7% of the population.

I don't know who Dylan whatever their name is... personally they could slap a set of dick and balls, a turd, or anything else on their marketing and it wouldn't matter to me. It's not like I ever care about marketing of any kind anyway.

So I both think it's a really strange marketing move that I simply can't wrap my head around, and I also think it's silly to get upset over as a consumer. 🤷‍♂️

Okay, but from a marketing perspective - I don't think I have seen this many people talk about a beverage. Whatever their reasoning was, it definitely made seeing "Bud Light" unavoidable on the internet.

It's also 2023 now, where nothing makes a whole lot of sense anymore.

Not good from a marketing perspective. Their revenue is down. You think they needed people talking about Bud Light, as if nobody heard of it before?

I mean there’s Bud Light Lime. That’s a little bit sissy.

I don’t know why they marketed with the transgender. Companies feel pressure to be “Woke” now.

Here’s a gem that will have everyone longing for “more simple times”. This is great.

No, I don't.

I don't drink beer or care about which gender does, just speculating. I also don't think a company that big is going to be going to be impacted greatly long-term either. Maybe it's just a company trying to stir the pot in the public? Maybe there was a law-suit because some people felt left out.

It all makes just about as much sense as getting rid of Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben.

Light beer was created to target the flappers of the 1920's to get them to drink beer. So...yea.

Anyway, as far as Bud Light, I've been calling that shit "bud gay" for almost 2 decades now. So I find it hilarious they endorsed a gay dude riding the tranny express to stardom.
