because JW never authorized or sanctioned an app.

none of those things are 5/3/1

Do a template from the book.

Anyone run 5/3/1 as a beginner
yes, 5 consecutive years, no breaks, no program hopping. back and forth between 5/3/1 and 5/3/1 bbb and 5/3/1 fsl

Also can I run it as beginner
yes

what assistance exercises do I add
I didn't add any. the bbb was the assistance

Just do what the book says?

I promise something like this will take you a long way.

Make a log and keep it up either here, on a app like Stregth, or a notebook, or all the above

Get the 531 forever book. The author explains the program in the book and there are enough variations to keep you busy, well, forever. There is a beginners routine and he lays out warm up, mobility, conditioning, lifting. Its all there in the book.

Great program. Pick a template that you like and follow it for a year.

You will make progress if you eat properly,

Why does it have a + set followed by another set of 5?

I am lost the ebook I have purchased has nothing like this

Every app and program online is totally different to the ebook adding extra sets and twos to the main lift even on bootcamp

So my question really is do I follow the program in the book or liftvault or some other app

Your question has already been answered. Which people told you to follow the ebook exactly as planned.

The books are like $20 each. Wendler put a lot of work into them, so that’s a steal.

You don’t even need both of them — just buy the most current one.

I read that I should get the 531 book and the forever book. I did that, but found that I could have gotten by with just the forever book, he seems to explain the program well in both. You dont NEED another book, i'm just saying there is a beginner variation in the forever book with everything laid out, because it sounded like thats what you're asking for. But, like @Test_subject said, you're buying the guys experience and effort putting together a program for you, 20 bucks isnt bad.

Really, do whatever you want. I'd recommend following the authors words in his book. Forget the app and use a notebook, he even tells you how to do that. it literally couldnt get any easier.

I bought a ton of his books and got a free year on his forum where he ACTUALLY replies to u, its pretty awesome and a small toght knit community

Once u purchase u send them an email and they set up ur account u have to use real names unless ur a vet, leo etc….

What i like to do is start with a 10/8/6 or an 8/5/3 something like that to work towards a 5/3/1

When i asked about this he told me, nope just go into a 5/3/1 with body weight accessories and there are so many different versions

Having read the 5/3/1 forever book I'm more confused

It has like 15 different templates all different programs . God knows how anyone understands what template to use and why 😂

I'll leave that program for someone else

It's not ebook on the program it's a ebook with a 100 different templates to confuse the fuck out of you so jim wendler sounds smart

It's Like a code you have to decipher
