Hey there, I've been lurking for a few weeks and I really enjoy the info here so I decided to join. I am currently an overweight, middle aged couch potato that just returned to the gym. I am a 41 year old sales manager, 5'-10 and 230lbs, and type 2 diabetic. I am not on insulin but I plan to hopefully get myself off of all the medication. I am doing a full body workout from Men's Health three days a week, cardio/abs/calves three days a week and resting a day. I am already down 10lbs just changing my diet and moving more. I currently run a protein/fat heavy diet with some carbs. Trying to reconcile the dietary info that my doctor gave me combined with the idea of working myself off of meds is difficult. I have found that I really love lifting and have been doing this program for almost 4 weeks. I'm seeing a lot of those beginner gains so it's exciting times right now for me. I look forward to learning more from you all and continuing my progress in getting healthy and swole. I appreciate those that are contributing and I hope to have some good shit to share with you all one day.
