The usage of steroids being illegal, can we actually talk about it to our doctor? Like advice on how to take it, how to avoid side effects, etc. or would he report us to the authorities?

I am exaggerating but really what would a doctor do?

You are giving the medical community a lot of credit. Very few would know anything about steroids. For example, My GP didn’t know what anastrozole was used for when I showed him the protocol that I got for trt from an online clinic.

However, is suspect if, and it’s a big if, you found a doctor knowledge about them they would not hold them with the stigma that the general population does.

The lack of knowledge in the medical community is why many of us take ownership of our own blood work and know a lot more than just the “they make you bigger” about the things we take.

I'm 99.99% sure a Dr can't call the police on you(at least in the US), due to HIPPA laws. Check here for more info.... "Your Rights Under HIPAA | HHS.gov" https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-individuals/guidance-materials-for-consumers/index.html

What they can do however is monitor your health, which is a good thing when doing what we do. No matter how good we think we are at reading bloodwork, my money is on the healthcare professional that he/she is even better.

Their knowledge and willingness to discuss certain aspects of AAS is going to be on an individual basis however.

And if you choose to let them in on your usage is a individual decision as well, even though I'm assuming in some cases the Dr already knows.

Lol Um yes why wouldn't you? I talk to my Dr every fortnight about my steroid use, he writes me scripts for Sustanon and reandron depending which I want and also hcg, clomid and aromasin. Does all my bloods too. Be honest with your Dr if your Dr is a cunt about it keep looking until you find one who helps you.

Exactly but I've never come across a Dr who doesn't panic when he/she sees raised creatinine and lowered egfr serums due to carrying more muscle than the average human or whats genetic for you.. You have to explain to most Drs about the raised creatinine etc I can't count how many times my old drs told me I'll get kidney failure and I was fucked if I don't stop steroids when after every test available produced perfectly functioning kidneys, take 4 days off training and lower protein and you get normal levels again haha

My doc knows. He's one of the few GPs in my area who will prescribe a TRT regime at all, but he will only prescribe gels. He's completely against letting me self inject, and badgers me about going to "the dark web" every time I go in for something.

My issue with potentially talking to a doctor is that they tend to log everything in your chart, and once it's there it's for good. Not sure how our health insurance providers would feel if they found out that your doctor was running blood work to monitor your health in regard to AAS usage, or how they would feel about providing health care to an individual who, in there mind, may be doing something very detrimental to their overall health.

Not sure they can get access without written permission.. "Your Medical Records | HHS.gov" https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-individuals/medical-records/index.html

Not saying it doesn't happen though.

Probably no worse than drinking, smoking, or being obese in the eyes of insurance companies. Those probably lead to far more expensive treatment costs.

Doctors deal with all kinds of drug use and most way worse than gear. CJ is currect about turning you into LE. dk is also on point, they don't know shit.

My Doc and I had a "Don't ask, don't tell" thing going on for years. Recently, I mentioned my gear use to him and he asked me what I was taking. I told him Tren E. His reply, "Is that like winstrol?" That's how little they know. Oh and trust me, every medical ailment and BW that is out will be because of my gear use from here on out.

SO how about life insurance? When you apply don't you often have to give permission to access medical files? Seems to me you could be denied, and if they check after death maybe grounds for denial of benefits? IDK, not sure I'd want my AAS use documented.

Your Dr can be the nicest guy on earth. What you report to your Dr is also available to the insurance. Insurances are all about making money. You can be denied later and with life insurance or accident insurance your claims can be denied because you took illegal substances that could have caused the condition.
If it is all Dr prescribed than you should be ok.

If you report it, don't have a traditional medical reason for it, and don't stop, you'll may well be denied to begin with. If you don't mention it, or mention it but just pretend you stopped, coverage could be denied after death for misrepresentation. Then again, if your beneficiaries are ingrates, you'll be dead so who cares? (kidding I think)

Of course you can, as long as you do so in a non-judgmental manner.

Before presenting this to your doctor, it's important that you talk with them ahead of time about what they're comfortable with and the pros and cons of each decision. You're preparing for a conversation, not an argument. If I were in your shoes and wanted to discuss the use or misuse of steroids, I'd remind my doctor that although steroids come with risks and side effects there are plenty of people who do well on low doses for medical conditions that respond very well to treatment using steroids.

Here is what a guarantee will happen…

If you tell him or her, for any future issues other than a common cold their first tesponse will be to tell you to stop taking them before they suggest other options.

Numbers elevated?

“You need to stop”

Having trouble sleeping?

“You need to stop”

Etc, etc, etc
