It's actually a pain in the ass if you want to do Roman Catholic you have to take classes and go through a process, baptism, communion, idk all the stages anymore. I was raised catholic but am atheist now.
I was raised Roman Catholic. the Vatican has been a disappointment for yrs considering orthodox route

I was brought up Roman Catholic as well. I'm unsure what to believe these days. I feel I believe in God, but not as was written by man. As Hollywood writers embellish for entertainment purposes, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John could have done the same in the name of promoting Catholicism. Boring stories don't bring worshippers to the fold.
One of the aspects that turned me off at a young age was the constant ask for money. We have a collection, then we'll take up another collection. You want to get married? Yes, that can be arranged, for an exorbitant fee. Oh and by the way, you must go to marriage classes, led by a man that was never married and quite possibly hasn't seen a pussy up close in decades. Make the check out to Father so and so. Thanks for coming.

Become Catholic if you want to be reverent. Every other Christian denomination is a Protestant offshoot with lots of stuff missing and chooses to ignore various parts of the Bible to suit their whims. Protestant denominations keep splintering into smaller and smaller groups because ultimately it’s up to your individual pastor to decide what to preach and follow, no cohesion or sense of what’s right.

A good resource to start looking for a church

What experience made you become Christian?
