30m 5'11"
190lbs
Around 18% bodyfat (tried to bulk, went a little crazy lol)
I'm natural

So I plan on jumping into Anabolics/trt eventually I want to blast and cruise but am learning as much as I can before I start. (Been reading and learning as much as I can for the past several years. I want to take a healthy approach to it for longevity in mind.

So I got a blood pressure monitor to see where I'm currently at. I want to know if I am healthy enough to even handle Anabolics. I was wondering how often I should check my blood pressure. And when the best times are.

I plan on checking when I wake up, after exercise, and before bed.

I want to learn what I should be looking for. What is good. What is bad. What the different systolic and diastolic numbers mean. Which ones matter the most etc.

I just got back from the gym and my readings came back

SYS 129 mmHg
DIA 73 mmHg
pulse 108 /min

Is that good or bad post heavy leg session?

Resting rate is usually around
sys 120ish
DIA 74Ish
Pulse 70ish

Anyways any help, tips or advice is much appreciated I'm just trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible. Thanks guys!

Just check in the mornings, but not immediately upon waking, as some experience the "dawn effect", which is an elevated BP upon waking.

Check a few times per week, look for trends, don't get panicked over any one reading.

Should I check after exercise to see how my heart reacts under stress?

Thank you for the advice!

To get an idea of what my body is doing when i started i checked it in the morning, evening and during the day, but not right after i worked out as i expect it to be high. But if you want to check it then just compare that reading to other times after a workout just to see patterns. Check the trends your body is doing. any 1 reading is nothing to get excited about. Medical pro's say 120/80 is the top of the range for health. With over 115/75 appearing to be the point where longevity starts to go down. Lower the better as long as a person is not having any low BP symptoms for the most part. and the difference between systolic and diastolic should be less then 60.

You're over thinking it, bud.

If you were having issues during exercise, you'd know.
I am having issues during exercise. My lips turn purple. I feel light headed and like I'm gonna pass out. Been happening since I was like 19. Mostly during heavy lifts where I'm going hard as shit.

It is a problem because it sometimes forces me to end the set before my muscles are fully pushed to failure. And yes I've even got obsessed with running while I was cutting weight and saw no improvement. It's something cardio related or heart related but going hard with cardio consistently hasn't helped.

I feel like I am breathing though. Lol. But you're correct not focusing on breathing will definitely make it worse. Another thing I've noticed is when I did a cardarine and ostarine cycle years ago this issue was gone for the first time ever. It's like suddenly I could fill my lungs ...
Anyways if I did a video of it could you watch it and tell me if it Simply is just breathing?

So you've had this issue for 11+ years? Have you not seen a Dr/specialist?
I have a huge mistrust for Dr's, they love to just take my money and give me the reach around every fucking time...

I injured my eye. Was told its nothing by 3 different Dr's.. however Both eyes dialate differently now so it's definitely something. Fucked up my back in a motorcycle accident. Was told I just "strained it" yet I throw my back out constantly since.
Just had a tooth filled and im having issues with it now. I wished i had just left my tooth alone.
Idk man I honestly put more trust and faith into this community. You strangers on the internet have done more for me then doctors have. This isn't just a job for you guys.. it's a fuckin lifestyle. I've learned you have to be your own doctor in America.

Truth be told. I've been trying to ignore it. Because it scares the fuck out of me

You can use a pulse oximeter to get an idea of the O2 getting to your limbs.

The blood test you need for that is a ABG test - arterial blood gases - that will tell you o2 carbon dioxide it tell you the ph level of your blood as well.

Have you ever been tested for COPD or Asthma ? Our daughter had asthma and she would get them from time to time - hypoxemia - the blue lips / shortness of breath - can be an indicator.

if you put more faith in this community than in a doctor then I'm sorry to say but you're an idiot.

We are not medical doctors, we are not formally educated in this.... especially for really unusual and obscure symptoms you post.

We might be able to tell you how to use a drug, but it's a leap of faith to expect that we can solve your medical issues.

Go see a doctor.

Ah I have not have any of this. I'm going to order full bloodwork soon from marek. I'll add that to their comprehensive panel if they offer it. Or maybe I will have to see a cardiologist? (Assuming that falls into their line of work)

you're going to have to see a doctor at some point no matter what. Might as well do it now and just ask about the specific tests you're interested in.
