It's womens names because..........

Yea most are...the only one I can remember that was a male name was Hurricane Bob back in the early 90's.

Don't they alternate. Like a-z names, a-girl, b-guy, c-girl, d-guy...ect?

You're not lying. I was born and raised in the florida keys and had to deal with that monster. Tore the roads out of the ground, literally. Still have not been the same since...
