Anyone here know of or heard of someone being on TRT for years and then transitioning off? If so, what’s the stories? How was it? Did they get back on? Why did they go off? Etc.

People go off to have kids all the time.

The real question is, did they really need trt or are they just on a prescribed cruise? If you needed trt you're going to be in the same or worse place than you started. If you're just abusing the system for your juice, most of the time you'll be just fine.

Fair. To clarify I’m asking about legit prescribed TRT.

Yup ME! I said fuck it and just stopped pinning one day…. I took some clomid for a while like maybe eod for a few weeks and walked away… now i just buy stuff to stair at it…. And deal with depression and shit by drinking hahaha im fucken awesome!!

This was after being on 200mlg test every week, 500 iu weekly of hcg and .5 arimidex weekly for about 12 yrs…

I will say once i get my blood work done here soon i might start back up at low dose just to stop the demons in my head and to help get my ass off the couch…

Ive been depressed more over the last 5-7 yrs and have lost a sense to do a lot of what i use to… so it might be time to get back on trt for me…

And it was all doc scripted… i will go back to my urologist here soon and get my scripts back for var, cialis hcg and test and get back to being a bad ass…

Continued my trt and kept the clomid in for myself and now have another whiny girl in the house…. Never stopped trt once

Not sure I understand why anyone would stop trt. If you're on trt you obviously need the replacement therapy.
I have been on trt since I was 33 and I did stop. I didn't transition off properly and I went nuts.
First it was physical health that went to shit and then my mental health. Emotionally unstable and not physically able to walk to the washroom with out help.
My doctor had pasted away that was treating me and the new doctor refused my treatment. I could have continued on with underground but I needed bloods. My mental health became so bad after a couple years of not being treated I had forgotten about being on trt. I went very dark.
Very long story!!
So the point is if you're on trt and truly need it talk with your doc about reducing the therapy if you really need to.
Have a sperm count preformed if you're trying for children. Imo

Let’s see, get off trt, have lower testosterone, worse mental health, less muscle, more fat, worse sleep, and increased risk of a multitude of chronic diseases.

Nah. I think Ill stay on trt that costs less than $100 a year.

For guys that want to for whatever reason though, there is a restart protocal somewhere in these pages. Think the guy’s handle mighta been “cashout”

I stopped because i couldnt keep my bloods down, was always chasin my tail, got lazzier by the month and just kept forgetting to pin myself…

Use to have a nurse who administered my shots that was a family friend, then i started doing sub q shots, i still have calendar items pop up as reminders for my shots haha…

And yeah i know i need to get back on, its been years of depression, and just more laziness and couch surfing… then my job changed to less physical and i kind of lost my way…. Still tryin to find my way and eventually be back on prolly here within a month

If a person goes on TRT because they are no longer able to make enough T because the testicles can't really produce enough or their hypoyhaslmus or pituitary are no longer working correctly Then years later want to come off T replacement they will most likely be worse off for doing it. If someone started TRT as they didn't like where their levels were they may have a chance to get things working better then the first example.

I'd first ask why you'd want to get off.
If it's medically prescribed for a legitimate deficiency I would expect you'd have a great time.

Even if you did clomid therapy to bring back some kind of natural production, I'd say more likely than not you'd eventually return to your deficient state and feel pretty poorly

I was just pondering on a thread from yesterday. I realized that I don't really feel differently whether I am on TRT or not. I know my levels without TRT were around 200 and with TRT they are 1000. Even with that I still don't feel great. I still have brain fog, still fatigued, etc. as I stated I am seeing an increased in muscle mass but I am also training. So maybe it helps but there are still issues.

I won't be going off TRT. I am getting tired of weekly pinning though. I know it's for life at this point. Don't know what the deal with insurance is these days but if it wasn't for GoodRx I would be paying more than the $30 bucks a month I pay now.

My doc did switch me from apex to clomid so I will try that and see how it feels. Maybe I have a TBI I some shit from my Marine days that is undiagnosed. I am tired of feeling like a fucking zombie. I imagine that TRT is helping me in ways I don't know but I still have an issue that needs resolved.

Maybe my dopamine or serotonin in jacked. I don't know anymore. I never planned for the future. Figured I would get blown up in some desert landscape. I didn't though and sometimes I really wish I had. I don't feel like I was meant to have a long life and living on borrowed time sucks.

TRT isn't going to fix everything in life.

Clomid isn't going to fix anything but has a nice long term side effect of fucking up your vision.

You're describing depression. I'd probably deal with that and not try to fix it via endocrinology.

Can it not be T, and DHea and Preg and other hormones that can help? Exogenous testosterone shuts down production of these other hormones.

Sounds like depression for sure, but are psyche meds the solution when they can cause PSSD and many other problems?

I couldn't get a hard on for 4 months. That was all I needed to figure out it was a seriously fucked up idea.

been on 200/wk for a few years now. Decided to have kids so went ahead and got a sperm analysis May 2023. Test came back 0 sperm, LH and FSH completely tanked. Nuts completely useless he said it takes 6-12 months to fully recover

Doc said to get off trt and start hcg at 10000/wk. See you in 3 months

10000hcg/wk for 3 months rechecked and levels are obviously higher and sprem count is 3 mil. He said to continue

Another 3 months of the above protocol and sprem count is now 5 mil. Hcg was getting way to expensive so decided to drop it to 5000/wk

Another 3 months at 5000/wk and just got tested again Feb 20. Nuts are fully back. Sprem count 75mil. Doc said everything looms good and to taper off the hcg

So for me after 4 years of trt it took 9 months to recover. Down side my test is currently 293. So my Nuts are good at making sperm but not test.

My normal sperm count was 5 million and said sperm juice was thick so it's like swimming in mud lol doc just tried to get it up for 3 months and said fuck it turkey baster time (IUI) hopefully they used my real sperm and it wasn't one of those creepy doctors that use their own.

You have to watch those mf's. I want proof of the chain of custody .

I'm appalled at the thought of some sicko knocking my baby up and me not knowing it. I can think of the punishment for such a transgressions all day.
