I think people have been very patient and understanding with you in this thread.

I've stayed out of it because my patience tends to run short with condescending people that think they're better than everyone else because their moral standards are higher.

1) Men who don't cheat, staying with women who they let cheat.

How does this affect you? Who are you to think you are better at making other people's life choices for them?

2) Men who cheat that let their women cheat (open relationships).

Again, why do you think your relationship style is any better than anyone else's? If people are happy in these types of relationships, leave them the fuck alone and don't post judgmental bullshit about them on the internet.

Raising a step-child is a noble thing to do. When someone dedicates their life to helping another, what more altruistic act of love is there in this world?

I didn't accuse or virtue signal or anything. I asked because it's oddly reminiscent of societal trends of disenfranchised young men. Maybe it's still not prevalent at all, and I hope that's true. Or at least, if dudes are cool with it or enjoy it - then more power to them.

What I'm curious about is if our gynocentric society has gone so far that it's convincing (or berating) men into letting women run all over them as the norm. I couldn't think of a better example of this than Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.


Maybe I'm just the crazy dude for caring about the futures of young men and what is societally normalized for them. I hope getting unhappily cucked isn't one of those things that's being normalized.

I agree entirely with this. After re-reading my comments, I probably should have made that more clear. I don't think step dads are cucks or 'beta'; I was putting this opinion (that I've heard from others) out there for scope/definition and its done nothing but detract from what I wanted to discuss. That is my mistake, I own it.

I think being a stand in father figure is an extremely noble thing to do. It's actually something I want to commit time to when my life is more stable.
But I wouldn't want to be a step father.

You can judge me for saying that last part if you like, but it's nothing more than personal preference.
